  2. Cheer up Charlie it's going to cost the fat lad a fortune if we go down.
  3. "The referee made the right decisions. I spoke to Mike Williamson at half-time and had a few choice words. I thought he'd done that [got sent off] on purpose - it looks like he did. The ball was off the pitch - he had no need to make the challenge. He will miss two games now, is it an easy way out? I got Tim Krul to speak to Daryl Janmaat, I told him to stay calm and he didn't. The game had gone away from us. We can't keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Post match Carver comments suggesting Williamson got himself sent off on purpose .
  4. Strap in lads this could get very uncomfortable.
  5. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastles-john-carver-believes-no-9164585 "No manager would have bettered his points total" The mans a 24 carat weapons grade lunatic
  6. Carver accepts that some of the players aren’t good enough but he has no one else to play because of injuries. He also insisted that he tells Williamson not to play the long ball but he just keeps doing it. He said he’s been told he’ll have money to spend in the summer and if not he’ll walk. But then went on to say he’ll still be here next year as manger or coach as he still has a 5 year contract. This from his meet the fans meeting today.

  9. Not really a shock at all mate just a lot of people were pinning their hopes on him scoring the goals in the last 3 games.
  10. With Cisse looking doubtful to play again this season it's now looking a bit dodgy.
  11. “It’s not a big problem with Papiss’s knee – this was maintenance that was always going to be needed. They’ve removed the screw so it’s been sorted. I really don’t think his knee is a big issue now" ... Carver March 13th. "He (Cisse) is working with the medical team he's not 100%, he hasn't joined us yet with any football and so we will just have to wait and see" ... Carver April 30th.

  13. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/04/looks-like-papiss-cisse-out-until-next-season/ Looks like Cisse's seasons over.
  14. So he reckons we need another 4 points for safety he's been in charge for the last 16 games were we've taken just 8 points thats 0.5 per game. Based on those figures we're going to be 2 points short.
  15. At today’s press conference ahead of Leicester, John Carver revealed how many points he thinks Newcastle need to be safe from relegation. The Newcastle Head Coach believes 39 points will be enough to ensure Premier League survival. That means 4 points from the next 4 matches, which doesn’t sound all that many until you take into account the fact that it is over two months since United picked up a single point. United face Leicester on Saturday and then have West Brom (H), QPR (A) and West Ham (H). A win over Leicester would all but guarantee survival as it would leave the Foxes needing 7 points from their last 3 matches, plus a number of other clubs having to pick up decent numbers of points. The club also released the following quotes from John Carver’s press conference: “It’s the biggest game of the weekend and huge for both sides. We need to stop this rot and get a result “Saturday is a tough game. Leicester are very well-organised, very strong and big, physical. “Four weeks ago Leicester were dead and buried but Nigel has turned them around and they are in with a chance of staying up.” “Paul Dummett and Moussa Sissoko coming back into the group this week has given us a lift.” “Siem de Jong is ready for this weekend, having played 90 minutes for the under-21s. He is not ready to start, however.”
  16. As i said an ideal candidate joking a side i honestly thought Ashley would have let him have a crack at it.
  17. Can i throw a name in here lads who i thought would have been an ideal candidate for Ashley one Mr Peter Beardsley. Shirley an ideal candidate he's worked under Ashley allegedly a bit of a yes man unlikely to make a fuss what do you think ?
  18. "I think we'll get someone who'll be grateful towards Ashley for the job" John William Carver.
