When i moved to the North East in 1974 i lived in Felling it was by the bypass not to far from Gateshead Stadium. Me and my mates used to go to the stadium to watch Brendan Foster train his trainer Stan Long's daughter was in my class at Felling High School. Anyway me and my mates used to play footy on the pitch just at the bottom of the stadium sometimes if we were lucky the nets were left out on the goalposts. One day we were all playing shooting & crossing in when this big car pulled up alongside the pitch 2 guys got out one carrying a camera we thought we're done for here. Just then one of the guys shouts pass it over then i got a proper look at him now i couldn't believe it it was SuperMac we had a bit of a kick about then the guy started taking photos it turned out he was from Shoot (football comic) 2 weeks later there it was in Shoot a picture of me and SuperMac. A couple of years later my mam & dad went to the world premier of the Likely Lads first film it was at the ABC on Westgate Rd (dad was a big Likely Lads fan) anyway they got their way to early and were just hanging round they'd been there about 10 minutes and SuperMac came round the corner asked my dad "if he was waiting to see the movie" dad said yes SuperMac said follow me he took them in the side door were they got to meet all the cast Rodney Bewes etc (James Bowlam never turned up) it probably means fuck all to a lot of people but they're a couple of nice memories as a young 'un.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z2GtRQBPNgI This from 1969 HR Pufnstuf it was mental i think some serious drugs must have been used in the making of this. There was Jack Wild who played a kid called Jimmy, his best friend was a talking flute called Freddie, there was a talking dragon HR Pufnstuf. In all the episodes they were chased by a witch called Witchipoo on her Vroom Broom.

http://www.inapub.co.uk/pubs/facilities/Newcastle-upon-Tyne/Sky-Sports Here's a few places that'll be showing the match.
-
I'm sure all the pubs clubs and cafe's showing the game would love you to spend your ticket money in their establishment instead. You'd be able to have a nice meal a few drinks watch the match on their telly then head up to the ground after the game.
-
Whats the feeling amongst the match goers here, HF has said there's 7 out of 7 of his group up for the boycott also ST holders are you giving it a miss ?
-
"A social media campaign has been launched for the match, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, in a bid to ensure they are watched by their lowest ever premier league crowd" I can't find an exact figure for the lowest attendance of a Newcastle Utd premiership game. What i can find is òur average attendance for 1992 the year the premiership was formed at the time it was just over 29,000. If the ashleyout campaign manage that figure i'll be amazed i was thinking at the most a boycott of around 5,000 does anyone else have a guesstimate ?

Ashley out campaign idea - Straight Outta Pennywell, Bitchez.

At 14 having a david bowie hair cut and dyeing it bright orange like the pin ups album. It was 1973 i loved the glam rock era but drew a line on wearing make up. In my platform shoes and 28" Oxford Bags (really wide trousers) i thought i was the dogs bollocks.
-
I think it'll be useful for the Ashleyout campaign to list all the pubs clubs & cafe's in town that'll be showing the match. That way people will be able to go to Leazes Park before the game and meet under the Milburn stand after the game.
-
I smell blue pop & cheesy chips.
-
Excellent i really hope this will have a much better response this time there is absolutely no reason to go inside the ground.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s-pajDOiLgM Supergran was class filmed around Whitley Bay and Tynemouth it featured local ciu club comedians Alan Snell & Brian Lewis as the baddies. If you go to The Land of Green Ginger cafe in Tynemouth you can see Supergran's Flycycle.

I can see this gathering pace over the next week or so particularly if we get a hammering at Liverpool which we undoubtedly will.
