Shearer wasn't doing well in the first 3 games and got dropped for it, iirc Dyer was left out of the squad. The media was creating lots of stir around the time and dropping Shearer emulated what had happened with Guillet in 99, huge pressure was on him Aye we ended up losing 4-2
