  1. Shelvey has been doing his best to hand the game to Burnley the last five or ten minutes.
  2. He should actually be sainted the lad. If the pope can spare some time from protecting nonces he should get right on it.
  3. Bruce actually making the logical subs for once, and at a decent time.
  4. Nice to know defenders are now allowed to kick the opposition players in the head. It will make defending corners etc much easier from now on. Burnley are there for the taking if we can get our subs right in the second half.
  5. I don't doubt it, in fact I think we're so close to being bad enough to do just that, that your comment has likely tipped the balance for us getting relegated. It goes Ashley, Bruce, the players, then you 😐 😂
  6. You need to go knock on a forest after that comment. 😉
  7. That was just kick in the bollocks type of result I was hoping for, for Fulham. Losing to a last minute goal is arguably as bad or worse than just being stuffed five or six.
  8. A decent manager would look at that result and really go for it at Burnley on Sunday, alas given Bruce's obfuscation when asked about Shearer's comments about having a go hint otherwise. Of course Bruce could just be playing his cards close to his chest and he will surprise us, or not.
  9. I can see your point, but I think either Longstaff can do a job in front of a three man defence, and help fill any gaps down either flank. Ritchie also doesn't have to bomb on as much when ASM is a much better option down that flank in any case. And of course ASM while he doesn't do it often can be asked to take a bit more responsibility, which I have seen him do on occasion.
  10. Take Krafth, Shelvey, and Gayle out of the last starting line-up, and replace them with Clark, preferably Fernandez if he were fully fit, ASM, Wilson, and play with the same urgency and effort to get crosses in, play on the front foot, and generally spend more time in the opposition box, and Wilson and ASM will likely prosper and indeed play a massive part in keeping us up. Whether Bruce can actually manage to enact such simple and obvious steps is another issue.
  11. I think Wolves have enough quality despite their injuries to give Fulham more than a decent game. They showed a lot of fight against a good West Ham team this season, with Lingard playing out of his skin, to come back and make it very tough for West Ham tonight. We also have to hope that Parker will have failed to lift the mood of his squad after what would have been a psychologically damaging defeat against Villa. Wolves are more than capable of going there and getting a result.
  12. 😂 Well I can only apologise. Clearly you must have been forced, Clockwork Orange style, to read my comment. That must have been traumatising for you. Ask someone you trust to give that stick a good pull.
  13. That point is looking very good after Villa's comeback. The result and performance will have given the Fulham's players confidence an absolute kicking. As people have said it will likely be more down to Fulham's incompetence than our form if we stay up. Wolves are coming off two defeats against Liverpool and Citeh, and have West Ham tomorrow, so Fulham will hopefully be seen as an important game for them to get some points to guarantee their premier league status, and us the same against an indifferent Burnley next weekend. Some people think that it's a lose, lose whether we stay up or go down because the cabbage will be kept on regardless, but I don't see it that way. If we stay up I don't think even Ashley is thick enough to risk another relegation which will wipe 100m minimum off the clubs value. I honestly think his wrong headed logic is that I fired managers at this stage before, and we went down, so I'll do the opposite. The truth of course is that he should never have hired Bruce, and should have fired him early this year. All that craic about him giving Bruce a new contract if we stay up is likely for two reasons, to wind us up, and to perhaps give Bruce some more authority with the team. Who fucking knows when we'll be sold, but we will eventually, and being in the premier league makes it a hell of a lot more likely.
  14. Cabbage referred to Joelinton as "the whipping boy" 😬. Is it possible we can just get the cunt cancelled?
  15. I think he's forgetting that he's supposed to be from "up here". But alas he's just a poor boy from a poor family from Manchester in all reality. More Manc than the rain the cunt.
  16. You can't say that wasn't a vast improvement, apart from the usual shite from Krafth. Spurs going for a champions league spot with Kane etc, that's a great point. Now if we go to Burnley next week and play like we did against Brighton etc, then it will have been for almost naught.
  17. Was that half a pretty big improvement from Brighton? Yes. Is that saying very much? No. Krafth isn't a fucking premier league, and probably not even championship level player. Clark does have the odd mistake in him, but he's objectively a much better player than Krafth will ever be as proven once again today. Another woeful selection decision by Bruce. At least he swallowed his pride somewhat and played S. Longstaff who I thought was very composed for the assist. You can be guaranteed that Hendrick would have conspired to fuck that up in the same position. That is if it's even likely he'd put himself in such a dangerous position in the opposition box. Would have bit your hand off for a point beforehand given our current form and with the cabbage in charge, but even though it's still only 2-1, and Spur's defence looks very shaky, Kane, Son etc will likely always get at least one more.
  18. So there were "frantic" meetings today between Cabbage and Penfold. I have an inside source on this, and it turns out that the tea lady forgot the double chocolate hobnobs. She was fired on the spot.
  19. Were you watching the match on sky last night? One of the commentators actually said we'd be happier in the bottom three than where we are now if played more attractive football 😐 The level of ignorance is astonishing. Either that or these so called experts are just making obviously counter factual statements to generate anger clicks for want of a better phrase. Then again I shouldn't attribute to malice what I easily attribute to incompetence. Obviously there's little point in talking about Merson's recent comments, he's obviously long fried his brain with all the booze and coke, not that he was likely ever a contender for the brain of Britain. At least Stelling pretty much apologised on twitter. Those Newcastle fans love to be entertained was another gem, as if other football fans aren't bothered if their team plays like shite.
  20. The real tin foil hat theory is that Ashley thinks he'll also be able to recoup the lost value on the club because of relegation from the Premier League, given they, supposedly, illegally stopped the sale to the Saudi's. But the aforementioned of course is clutching at the entirety of the US agricultural output of straw.
  21. One of the Sky commentators did actually point something useful out, in between trading in ridiculous cliches about what we supposedly demand as fans, when he said that Bruce and his coaches seemed to be making decisions by committee on the touchline. I think it's very likely that Bruce was asked to bring another coach in with Jones or be sacked, and now we don't have actually have one leader on the coaching side in the dressing room. That's likely a large part of why players are disillusioned and don't seem to give a fuck, again because the coaching side of things is a fucking shambles.
  22. Bruce in post match interview : I've never ran away from a fight. I'm not a quitter and I won't quit now. Translation : I've never left a job without a payoff or another job lined up, and I won't start now, it's not like I actually give a fuck about Newcastle or am actually a real supporter of them.
  23. They've stopped playing for Bruce, and in certain respects I can't really blame them.
