  1. ASM showing his class against league one defenders. That would have been some goal.
  2. So a murderous, theocratic dictator investor fronted by Stavley who's Prince Andrew's ex girlfriend. We might need to get Max Clifford on this lads to smooth out the edges a little... oh shit he's dead isn't he
  3. I'm not so sure his opinion on Pre-Raphaelite art for example would be quite as well reasoned and knowledgeable though.
  4. The answer to that is infinitely fucking better in every way than some southern English twat
  5. The quality of football analysis on here is incredible
  6. Was just watching the interview with Lazaro on NUFCTV. It showed Lejeune's second goal where he got clattered by Calvert-Lewin in the process. I hadn't seen a replay, the dirty bastard should be given a retrospective straight red.
  7. In fairness I did say point, but I take yours. In all seriousness though we might have been shite going forward against Chelsea but we were at least solid at the back. Lascelles in particular had a shocker at the back tonight. So to summarise, we were shite at the back and going forward, for the vast majority of the match, but still nicked a point.
  8. We can only hope that Bruce doesn't get caught performing the pre match human sacrifices before the end of the season. I honestly can't remember the last time we've played so shite only to nick a point. I'd be absolutely sickened if I was an Everton supporter, and I'd be very upset about this result as well
  9. Matty Longstaff is having mare. If he doesn't stop giving away possession in dangerous areas he needs hooked.
  10. Well I did add that caveat that it is just youtube, but you can at least judge if a player can run in a straight line quite fast, or if they're capable of passing a ball. The problem comes if they can't or won't do those things consistently. In any case the word from people who've seen him play, spurs fans etc, is that he does have a lot of potential. Whether his head's right is another story.
  11. Again it has to be said youtube isn't the most accurate gauge of player given it's a literal highlight reel, but Bentaleb has a great left foot on him. He definitely isn't a simple defensive mid with the range of passing he seems capable of.
  12. He was playing more defensive for Spurs but apparently he switched to more of a box to box player for Schalke. He does look very mobile in fairness from what I've seen on youtube. Youtube obviously isn't the best indicator, but it at least gives you an idea of how athletic a player is.
  13. I have to admit that I don't recall how good or bad Bentaleb was for Spurs. My brother in law is a Spurs fan, but I wouldn't trust his opinion on owt. Seems like he has a bit of talent but his attitude is in question. He could be decent for a loan or he could be another Doumbia. If this is the mystery transfer it's more than a little anticlimactic.
  14. Anyone where the highlights are being shown. I know there's still two matches tomorrow night so logically it should be late tomorrow night, but I don't see it scheduled on either BBC or ITV. I suppose I'll be able to find something on Youtube after.
  15. I'm happy to see Almiron proving me wrong. I was extremely sceptical as to whether he had the requisite temperament to take chances at the top level, but it appears that he did just need to get off the mark.
  16. Of course if was a bloody mistake, the question is why would a very good player make what isn't even a school boy error because they know better. So no it wasn't a simple mistake, it was literally one of the worst things you can do in your own half. And if you don't get why a player wouldn't be like, hey boss you know how you've incompetently played me too much after a major injury? Well I'm knackered in mind and body and want off even though I'm not actually injured and you have fuck all on the bench to replace me with, then I can't help you. And lastly, kicking the ball across your own box has fuck all to do with cowardice.
  17. The problem is that if you listen to other Manure players from him time there, he'd literally play with a pulled hamstring the thick c*nt that he is. So he's likely as sympathetic to the injuries the players he coaches get.
  18. Not every player we have has just come back from a months long injury and is having to play every game because our other defenders are injured. How many times do I have to point out the specifics before it sinks in for you. And being tired means that you're more likely to make mistakes, not that you can't do some good things as well. And if it was Rafa he likely would have stuck on someone like Krafth or indeed started with him, but again it's not like we have much choice on the bench with Dummett, Lascelles and Clark all injured.
  19. Lejeune is literally one of the best passers of a ball we have in the team period. So yes he's more than capable of passing a ball thirty yards. Passing the ball across the box is a brain fart of epic proportions. In other words there is little other explanation for such a mistake than tiredness of the mind, body or likely both. The commentator literally said the same thing, and I think I'll take his opinion over a sweary moron on the internet.
  20. Alright keyboard warrior, keep your wig and incontinence pants on. It's a fact that Lejeune shouldn't be playing every game literally just as soon as he got fit from a serious injury. I mean what's your explanation; that he just turned into a player who would make those sort of mistakes in normal circumstances over night?
  21. Lejeune is going to get a lot of stick and he'll deserve it, but as the commentator was saying those kinds of mistakes are made from tiredness. Lejeune didn't just turn into a terrible player over night. With Dummett, Lascelles, and Clark out Lejeune is having to play every match having just come back from a months long injury.
  22. I accept that he's been isolated but every time he does get a chance to run at the opposition defence he looks woeful. His hold up play has also been more than a little suspect, but I would be willing to give him a pass on that given he hasn't played in that position before in his career.
  23. Yeah he was playing wide in a front three. The thing is given his physique you'd expect him to be more than capable of leading the line, but he looks like Bambi on ice.
  24. First thing that has to be said is great effort from almost everyone, and some credit to Bruce for quickly realising that the lads were more comfortable in the set up and tactics Rafa was using. Fortunately that set up pretty much nullified Sheff Utd's big strengths as a team. Secondly as much as Almiron frustrates me he at least brings effort, great defensive cover and work, and he carries the ball with pace up the pitch. Joelinton on the other hand, apart from that bright moment against Spurs and a decent assist against the 'ammers has been absolute shite. I could understand if he wasn't really suited to or used to being a target man given he hadn't played centrally for most of his career, but he can't even run defences without tripping over his feet. Perhaps he's just devoid of confidence but I don't see any signs of how or if he'll turn this around. I wouldn't be surprised if the rumour about his actual fee being 20m down and then 18m extra if we win a European competition, which of course is a joke proposition under Ashley, is true. 20m is still far too much on current evidence.
  25. Well again he had ten appearances under Rafa and his limitations seemed apparent then as well. It just happened to be the case that people were willing to give him some time. That time has come and gone for me. I'd like to be wrong but I can't see him improving all that much regardless of where he plays or who the midfield two are. There's a cool headedness when an attacking player gets into the box that separates good players from average to poor ones and Almiron just doesn't seem to have it at premier league level.
