Impressive that he's an English born player playing domestically and still speaks another language. Don't know what language that is mind you, just that it's not English. #Words

If you ever saw Windsor Davies in It Aint Half Hot Mum, “which name does you prefer” makes perfect sense. Especially if it has “la di da Gunner Graham” at the end after it

On the surface it's madness, but they'll be seeing it as pay 10M in wages for a player who would command that much in transfer fees easily if he was still under contract. Of course even a freely available player will have an agent wanting to wet their beak on the deal so there will have been some coin outside the wages involved as well. It's a Mike Ashley'esque move a gamble for them to try to retain premier league status which is where the real windfall is. Attacking players are notoriously expensive, so it could potentially be a good deal for them, but only if Lingard wants to compete. The motivation for him is probably more about what comes next, do even reasonably well and Lingard and his agent then get to do the same again next season when at the age of 30 I'd say they'll be looking for a 2 or 3 year deal.

If I was a Forest fan, my concern would be whether he will actually give a fuck or not.  If he does put the effort in and stays fit, this could be a great deal for them. However there must be a reason he couldnt get in a poor Man Utd side and I suspect it's his attitude

Dual citizenship is the business these days after the disaster that is Brexit.

I got French citizenship (haw hee fucking haw) a couple of years ago, something I wouldn’t have bothered to do pre-Brexit.

Nice one. A significant advantage in Europe I assume.

Two years and three months after first applying, myself and Mrs A have been granted residency of New Zealand! Absolutely massive news for us that opens up the possibility of us just staying here forever now.

Huge news and a huge weight lifted wondering if it was ever going to come through for us.

Congratulations mate. Next stop dual citizenship!

It's almost as though we're a properly run football club these days.

This is the issue with sections of our fanbase. They've been so used to it being run poorly and leaks / namedrops all over the place from Ashley and his cronies over the past 15 years that non-disclosure seems an alien concept.

I trust that we will do decent business between now and when the window closes.

Absolutely. I’d add that a lot of the noise in the press is probably coming from agents looking to talk up their clients.

  6. I was going to say something derogatory after watching about 30 seconds of him whinging about his hotel bed (they obviously use a different detergent to his mam), but I would just end up feeling bad….it’s like picking on the simple kid who doesn’t know any different

  7. Just went over to RTG for a quick look. Wished I hadn’t. First thread “Players who are shite” (correct answer: all of them). Second thread NUFC sportswashing (now up to a gazillion pages).

It’s more like a therapy tool for window lickers and manic depressives than a football messageboard. Haven’t they got any better to do?  Actually probably not.

Trust the process. There's still 6 weeks to go and the owners aren't stupid

This is what I think too. I don’t think anybody in the press has the inside track on what’s going on behind the scenes; the owners and management know we are short in attack and Ive no doubt they will address it.

The reality is that we are shopping in the high end stores now not Ashleys poundland….so unless the player or the club want a transfer (like pouty Hugo), we will have to prise targets away from unwilling sellers. That process often goes down to deadline day for a number of reasons (and theres also the matter of moving the deadwood on). I doubt its a budgetary issue so much as an availability issue.

ReadyToGroom reckons Craig Hope is being paid by the Saudis and is doing a character assassination on Ekitike because he turned us down.

Ekitike turned us down because he’s a MLF, he’s just waiting the next takeover when there will be billions to spend, my mate met him on holiday and reckons he thinks theyre bigger than Barca, FTM six in a row
