Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
Kitman replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
He's probably Australian anyway -
I read recently that Juventus are in for Tonali and we were in a "battle" to hold on to him. It wouldn't surprise me if Juve were after him because he's incredible, but there's no battle here. We can always tell them to fuck off and unless the player really wants to leave, we're under zero pressure to sell.

Newcastle Fans: What Do You REALLY Think of PIF’s Ownership? 🗣️
Kitman replied to jaja03's topic in Newcastle Forum
No thanks, take your agenda elsewhere -
We all know if that mother theresa had owned the club, they'd be saying she was backed by the illuminati funded by selling baby porn or some similar pipe dream. Something has to invalidate it somehow, anyhow. The last thing they'll admit is that we're an incredibly well run club with a brilliant manager, support team and set-up. Which hopefully will last for many years
-
It doesn't count because it's us. That's the only reason.
-
I also think we'll sell Longstaff. He's dropped down the pecking order and would be one to upgrade for squad depth. He's probably played his best football for us so now would be the time to cash in with an eye on PSR.

The real United v Manchester reds - Thy choicest gifts in store

I do think we're very lucky to have Tonali. Possibly if it wasnt for the betting scandal AC Milan would never have let him go because he's mint (yes Im suggesting they knew about it when they sold him) -
I would've thought EH will need to be off work for a few weeks. As Toonotl says I'm sure Tindall, Jones et al will deputise well in his absence and the team picks itself at the moment.

Poor thing. It'll be on the glue next

I thought we should sell him in the summer

He's arrogant enough to think he was going to be transformative for them. Which to be fair he has been -
I expect Keith talks to the pigeons about us too. On the rare occasions he goes out...
-
Which he probably pretends he isn't bothered about...

Great result lads, get in! Give it Mad Dog -
I dunno, he might be deluded enough to think he should be a regular starter. Is he still the main striker at Everton?
-
I'm hoping this is just his agent trying to drum up interest in a free transfer. I really can't see why we'd be interested with his record
-
That and the fact he doesn't actually do any management or coaching

I agree with Dr Gloom, I think Mitchell will shop abroad for new players with great potential and a lower price tag. I'd be very surprised if we shell out big bucks for the likes of Mbuemo or Elanga, assuming that they're even available. I get the sense that Mitchell was brought in to get us away from expensive transfers, which rules out older and established PL players. I dont think there's any chance we'll go for the likes of Grealish, which is a good thing imo Of course you never know, a marquee signing might be approved if we make the champions league, and they were a genuinely elite player. However I expect we'll be looking to bring in 4 or 5 quality players - with several players leaving - so we wont spunk most of our transfer budget on one player.
-
This is very true
-
I tend to be sceptical of these stories because most of Eddie's signings have been under the radar. I think we'll be linked with a lot of bullshit players this summer
