he hasn't looked rapid to me. seems to like to play the give and go rather than beat his man with pace. totally different to gordon in that sense. though he is probably the best finisher of the wide players

Leading the way among midfielders is Mykhaylo Mudryk, who only arrived in the Premier League in January, with a speed of 36.63kmh. Wolves star Matheus Nunes is second at 36.62, while Denis Zakari is the second Chelsea player in the top three with a speed of 36.09kmh.

Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo sits fourth with a speed of 35.47, with Wolves' Chem Campbell next at 35.45kmh. Leicester winger Harvey Barnes is just behind in sixth after clocking a speed of 35.44kmh.

is he slower than Barnes? Genuine question. I would usually agree that the best wingers have pace to burn but Barnes clearly doesn’t so perhaps Howe doesn’t demand it from players as long as they are they type that he can mould to play in his system.

I was under the impression Barnes has a lot of pace but he's currently returning from an achilies injury and no doubt, will be tentative to push it.

  3. Anderson isn't quick or fit enough to play on the wing and especially not in an Eddie Howe team.

He'd be far more suited to playing in an European league, Italy or France, in his natural AM position.

  4. Anyone watch Biden's State of the Union speech?

What is wrong with Americans? The thing he's actually wants to do will do nothing but help their country and its citizens.

And yet there were still fucking morons heckling him.

He didn't sound well though, lots of coughing, losing track of his thoughts on occasion (no worse that that other cunt mind you).

It's quite possible he wouldn't get through another term.

Fucking hell, she was the main act at last weekend's Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, where there was huge memorials for a gay couple that had been murdered by one of their ex-lovers, who was, a copper.

She might need to talk to her booking agent.

Need to see if he has any teeth before we can rule out Collingwood.

If he's got a meth habit he's most likely from Geelong but just tells people he's from Melbourne.

BTW @Monkeys Fist there's still a few other teams in Melbourne that play that ridiculous fucking game.

Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs aka Fitzroy (I had a mate who supported them and literally died of a heart attack after they finally won a trophy after 50 years), St Kilda, Essendon, Melbourne, North Melbourne and Richmond.

It's such a provincal game that 10/18 team in a national league come from one city with just 5 million people, fucking stupid.

Aye, he never really lived up to that fee at Spurs. Prime (NUFC) Sissoko in a Howe midfield would be an interesting player though as he was a fucking beast of an athlete. Him and Joelinton either side of Bruno could have caused carnage.

Only if the ball ricocheted toward Bruno everytime Sissoko tried to control it. Yes he was imposing but the fucker had the touch of Trump in a changing room.

If you don't want to be seen as a WUM.
We all get it, you have a soft spot for Maxi, he was a bright star for all of us in a dark time but poking the bear is just going to get bites and no one wants that shite fight, capeesh?

Anyway, you've been extremely lax in the loans update thread, you've got responsibilities you are falling short upon!

I think Hope is making the Hall info up as that isn't a quote.

It wouldn't be a bad thing, there is definitely a good player in there. I bet there is something hinky in the deal and if he plays under a certain number of minutes we might get him for less or the actual price we all think he is coming in at is wrong and Chelsea are that desperate, Howe thinks he can fleece Ashworth once his shoes are under the table at Man U.

another reason why selling anderson at this stage is kind of pointless. give him another season or two to impress before we decide to cash in or not. his value will only go up as he gets more minutes in the PL

Unless we get European football next season, and at this stage it's unlikely, we won't need all of them, which makes it even more likely two of the current first team midfielders will go. I'm interested to hear others alternatives?

Say, for argument’s sake that we wanted to keep Anderson. But FFP meant that any half decent bid would see him likely sold. Then wouldn’t that be a fucking ridiculous state of affairs?

It's kind of where the club is though, isn't it?

Ashley left the squad in such a state that any glimmer of local talent, is currently worth more as a saleable asset.

Think of the shite that are still on the books and worth nothing: Hayden, Hendrick, Fraser, Lewis - only Hendrick is off the books at the end of this season.

    Longstaff is, Anderson isn’t

KCC, if you were to look at our midfield and order them strongest to weakest, where do you honestly place Anderson?

I don't see who besides Ciggy that I would place him in front of?

Bruno>Tonali>Big Joe>Little Joe>Miley>Anderson>Longstaff - you could possibly swap 2nd to 4th in the order of your preference, same with 5th to 7th but for me Miley at 17 has a lot more potential.

Those last three are worth more to the club in FFP value than their betters.

Just trying to look at this from a business sense from the club's perspective.

  13. Everything said above is true and yes it is a wonderfully romantic notion to have as many local players in the squad but we cannot keep them all.

When it comes down to it do you want Brunos and Big Joes or Longstaffs and Andersons (I don't think EA has the legs/speed to be a Howe first team player).

And honestly, are they going to be happy being second or third choice for the position they play?

Perfect world we have some locals in the stiffs, that will never be better than mid-table PL or Championship club players that Ashworth's first job at Man U is to over pay us for them and the leftovers are off to Forest.

But we currently don't and are a long way off, having that conveyor belt of academy players.

Isn’t it worth keeping them around for european squads, as they are homegrown?

They are the weakest of our midfielders and it's not like we are short of homegrown players.

You joke, but you just know that those 2 + Grealish and Rashford will be shoo ins and the likes of Gordon and Bowen will miss out

Not sure why you are so keen for Gordon to make the squad.

He needs a holiday and you know if he was in the squad he'd either sit on the bench for all but 5 minutes in some dead rubber group game and/or be knackered for the season by some league 2 level defender playing for Latvia in said game.

AG10 needs to do nothing but his bouncy missus for the summer.

I forgot to add, this can only help NUFC when I'm at work while we've got a game at the same time. Get your passports ready for Europe, lads. :good:

Thank fuck for that, the team needed an extra lift.

@Howmanheyman, congrats Ciaoman but no shirking your correspondence duties!

  17. The only negative I have about Ginola, is he chose to leave us for those Spurs cunts, funny I don't have that problem with Sir Les!

Robert, HBA, Ollie Bernard, even ASM all had the decency to either be forced out by a fuckwit manager and/or fuck off to another country.

Now N'Zogbia on the other hand, never knew what he had and deserved to end up wallowing with the beige cunts.
