A few idiots should have a good, long hard think as to why there is immigration in this country. It takes a real clown to completely overlook this. On the subject on 'ordinary muslims.' The media is not interested in moderate people on telly, they are interested in making sure extremists get as much coverage as possible because it keeps their ratings up. There are other interested parties, political and corporate who are quite happy for this to go on as it promotes the idea that we are all in terrible, imminent danger and we should support our boys overseas who are busy securing their influence and fortune in oil rich lands and also give up some basic rights to freedom at home. It's terrorism of a different form, using terror and paranoia until we overule our ability to discriminate against this bullsh*t. The people i truly feel for are those who have bought into this ideal and have to suffer losing a loved one in some desert, fighting a fight to make some rich c*nt richer.

Guilty concious tbh In all honesty, i just can't be bothered reading or replying to his posts unless it has to do with the history of NUFC or North-East region, the only topic i've engaged him in where he was open and informative without an obvious political slant. 148886 Thank you. I too would prefer to talk about football, but can't quite believe that I get such opposition just for thinking we should blow a few terrorist's heads off. Terrible spelling BTW. 148891 Conscience, apologies

It's strange, who are these terrorists around every corner? What are their motives? We are led to believe it's immigrant muslims who have nothing but pure evil in their hearts, is this realistic? I can't abide people who live here willfully but criticise the country and it's culture but do even these people truly want to see the streets awash with blood? It's pretty doubtful. There are a few extremists that we see in the media but these idiots never have the balls to do anything themselves imo, just fundamentalist mouthpieces. There was the terrible bombings last year but such things are hardly new to this country (unfortunately), the IRA worked a long campaign here killing many more people. Is the threat so great that we should forgo certain freedoms and rights to privacy and fair treatment by the police? It has started to bother me that politicians and some media companies have tried their best to convince us that our very way of life is at threat, that we should fight this evil, that we should support our soldiers fighting the war on these terrorists doorsteps, out there in Iraq. That we should do all we can to stop these maniacs at the source. Is my way of life threatened by the actions of Iraqi's? That seems to be the link they're making. Some people should just think again and wonder whose interests are being 'defended' in Iraq/Afghanistan. It's worth remembering that this country's bigots and associated media have always needed a target, the French, the Irish, the Germans, the Blacks, the Russians, the Indians, the East Europeans, now the Muslims.

Hey, backout hombre, this is a fair fight

I wonder, did it ever cross his mind that what he was saying was that education leads to a more humane and inclusive stance and the lack lends itself to bigoted bloodlust. Not that i agree with those sentiments, the Nazi's were extremely well educated and i'm not sure they could be called handwringer's and do-gooders It's just seems that Leazes seems to have polarised things so.

Yeh she texts me about 10 times a week asking for favours, beers, a laugh etc how would she feel? 116159 Too many white people in the world anyway, hope you split up tbh Actually i'm not sure if i'm joking

I think you should start doing weights and practising moody stares in the mirror..

Sounds like you had her on the ropes for a second there. 116136 Aye I she said no he doesnt, what would you like me to do? I said well a bloke who is texting you and arranging beer etc etc is making me uncomfortable thats all. She still said no he doesnt fancy me, thats in the past. Id didnt want to push it and say that the cunt had been texting her asking to meet to chat for a bit as she knows ive been checking her texts. She and I then were talking about our house we plan on getting and she said this lad was a pain! I love her to bits, but it looks like I may have to leave her as this is getting on my fucking nerves and Ill end up knocking the shite out of him soon. 116144 Whoooooooooaaaaaaaaa Cowboy! Just talk to her don't f**king leave her because you THINK something might be going on. Tell her you're a bit jealous, i think everyone likes it if they're partners are a bit jealous and see what she says. Maybe moving in together might be a move too soon in my most ignorant and humble of worthless opinions.

Yeah! There's nothing like exploring the issue...

To Dotbum: Bless you my son, do you think i could get work on the Evangelical Channel? Or would i look like a pimp in a white suit and diamond bracelet?

I think this 'feeling of isolation' from mainstream British society is possibly one of the things that has encouraged Islmaic extremism to grow in this country. 90191 I can see this from both sides tbh. Anyone would feel a bit isolated if few people spoke, dressed, looked like, prayed like oneself. However i also think it's a bit rich to demand the populace of the host country to display human qualities over and above that which you are capable of yourself and then have the hump about it when they don't! It is incumbent on the arrivee to do their best to fit in imo. What really f**ks me off is when you read that some of the ringleaders are on benefits. How someone can beg from another man's table without the slightest humility and call his wife a slut and his mother a whore and then tell him that your way is the true way is unbelievable. Those who behave in such a way have no honour, they are not men. Tiny minority though.
-
Anyway, here's my tuppence worth. People who are easily offended by such remarks are people who have brittle faith. If you love your wife dearly and think the world of her, what would you care if someone disagree's or even makes fun of her looks? She is beautiful to you and that should be enough. Anybody who reacts with violent or vengeful thoughts, words or deeds to a stupid cartoon has deep personal problems. This isn't an Islamic issue imo, the people involved have serious character flaws and probably very, very low self esteem coupled with a feeling of isolation. These aren't bad muslims, just bad people. They have lost or never had a sense of clarity or mature discrimination with which to view the world. I am a religious person and believe the Supreme One is all knowing and all loving. Are we to be judged on our dress? The timing of our rituals? Our facial hair? Or are we to be judged on what is in our hearts? It is easier to follow an outward course of action rather improve and evolve oneself through reflection, understanding and forgiveness. It is also easier to impose your will on others than to be lead by example. Truly these people have made God in their own image, vengeful, wrathful and intolerant. I believe Islam is none of these things, i'm sure 'The East' was viewed as the refuge for liberal thinkers a few centuries ago. The media love this 'Type of Muslim' though, they give very little coverage to what i believe to be a very great majority of decent people who happen to be muslim and so we are bombarded by this type of sensationalism. Don't let these ridiculous images create a generalisation of a great many people.

Them lot are mentalists. FACT! 88651 You realise i'm reading this and taking your comments very seriously don't you...

What's that supposed to mean? Just answer a question, it's pretty easy. Who identifies the players to bring to the club in order to build a team? 76120 The scouts! OK, pedency apart, it's Souness, but then I've never disputed that! Answer this simple one then in return: Who has the final say-so by slapping his signature on the cheque and has the power to say "not on your life am I buying that piece of shit!"? 76361 This is something a manager would say should a club have a Chairman who is involved in team affairs when he shouldn't be. 76367 76370 The final refuge. Obviously you believe a Chairman should be saying those words to a manager when in disagreement with the manager's decision on a team affairs issue, which means you are in favour of interference in team affairs by a Chairman. Wouldn't mind you telling me how any Chairman is supposed to convince ANY manager to join any club under those circumstances. 76389 Sorry to get involved but i think this point of view is a kind of riposte to Leazes Mag. LM (i believe) has frequently stated that if you back Souness then you must, by inference back all of his decisions including getting rid of Bellamy and Robert. LM's support of Freddie was then felt to be hypocritical by some (me included) as by those standards LM must clearly back the appointment of Souness in the first place, and his continued employment. I think i'm right in this (regarding other people's opinions) but i most humbly apologise if i'm wrong. Also, i have no wish to re-open that debate with LM, i respect his stance and we've all discussed it to death which probably accounts for Craig's reluctance. 76430 I can't see your point chocchip, I've said that I what I think of FS appointing Souness, but also one bad appointment doesn't make a bad chairman. It doesn't change the fact that FS is a good chairman because all the other managers he has appointed have been welcomed by the majority of the clubs support, as they were all successful, and built good teams, and left good sets of players at their previous clubs. Isn't this the same criteria we are all seeing when we are looking at Hitzfeld and Hiddink ? FS also backs his managers to the hilt, to the level of Newcastle United financially, and allows them the freedom to do their jobs. That, to coin a phrase, is a "proper" chairman. i can say this, because i said from the start i wasn't happy with Souness, but everyone who supported Souness to be successful, by saying give him time, are in no position to slag off freddie for appointing Souness because they agreed with it ! Souness getting rid of Bellamy is different, because i didn't support him. And I didn't support because he always has been, and always will be, a shit manager. If anything, his treatment of Bellamy proved to me conclusively that I had judged him correctly. By the same token, Bobby Robson sold Solano, but that didn't make him a bad manager either. 76432 LM, apologies if my post seemed to be a criticism of your views. I was presuming the perception of your views was the basis for Craig's stance with HTL. I'm more than aware of your opinions . I don't necessarily agree with all of them but i listen to what you have to say. Didn't mean to start a debate with you in the middle of HTL and Craig's discussion.

I really think it will be Shearer and the end of the season.

For the umpteenth time: I said that Souness needed time to prove himself one way or the other. He's used that time to prove that he isn't good enough. Which doesn't make me wrong because he still needed that time to prove his inadequacy in his role as manager of Newcastle United (not Liverpool, Blackburn, or any other club he may have been at in the past). It was simply the true, 100% correct statement that "A new manager needs time to prove himself" that makes me RIGHT and not WRONG. FACTARAMA. 73891 Gemmill, you were wrong because you thought he was the man for the job when he came here. That is all I am saying, just admit you were wrong on that aspect and I will never bring it up again. 73902 If the choice was Bruce, Souness or O'Leary (Big Sam turned us down) and someone picked Souness i wouldn't vilify them for it.
