You get the feeling this has to do more with something that has gone on behind the scenes.

UEFA have charged Adriano with some sort of misconduct for the incident last night. Extraordinary stuff really. Didnt watch it but from reading it you feel Adriano's done something completely disgraceful to be honest. I do wonder how they could possibly punish him though? Fine? Ban? Is there a precedent for this? And since Shaktar didnt allow them to score from the restart shouldnt they be in hot water too?

Liven up lad! That is a seriously pessimistic view. Nufc being Nufc we will undoubtedly have our ups and downs again but to there's a long way to go and all is not lost. 2 bad homes games ffs

He hasnt played well. Tiote hasnt. Colo hasnt. Cisse hasnt. We are going through a very poor patch as team where our shape and tactics need a bit of sorting out. But to say you arent bothered by one of our best players being out? He's basically our engine room ffs. I'd want all the above mentioned players in and around the starting eleven whether they are playing well or not. Because they are proven quality, and will hit form sooner or later.

I am well aware of that theory. However, having spent nearly 7M on the likes of Anita, Im sure a few quid would have been available for a defender too. Maybe Pards was just hoping for another injury free season from Colo.

If this is what mackems are like I salute you guys for bearing with them. Thats what pisses me off about Williamson as much as his league 2 standard defending. Same goes for Simpson. Shame we saw this weakness a long while back but our management just couldnt.
