tbh, I'd be happy with any of them.
Atiba Hutchinson has a horrible first touch. It wouldn't work out in the Premiership. Alot of noise has been made about him for years, but he's still in Denmark playing his football. Recent noises has suggested PSV interessted in him. I don't think he's good enough
-
Apologies if i'm 3 pages behind but didn't he deck another teammate last season too?
Carroll and N'Zogbia apparently traded blows in late january last year.
-
Danish tabloids are reporting about the incident today also. Furthermore, they claim the alleged punchup was due to Taylor recieving a text message from Carrolls ex-girlfriend. I don't know if that have been reported elsewhere.
-
2-0!!!
Lovenkrands, Routledge assist
sounds like a good goal
Danish national manager was out in the danish press today, stating that Løvenkrands is very much still in contention for a world cup squad spot for Denmark. Hopefully that'll make him more hungry

Some Danes are trying to put together enough money to buy Chester, and make it a supporter run club. It's a "consortium" of ordinary people, who have put together enough money to run the club. Apparently this unlikely group of danes is not welcome though. A bit of an odd idea, that came together on Denmarks biggest football site, bold.dk

I post this here, because i assume this is where most people read. I just got this PM

I suspect this very much to be false, and a spoof attack. Someone sending random members of this board pm's urging them to download some software. That softwares is malware. A quick google, lead me to this link http://forum.teamxray.com/viewtopic.php?p=...f19f702a4a7bcd6
Stoppspamforum.com is malware, and a hoax. Do NOT click on links there from.

just ran a test on
http://web.archive.org/web/*/toonstats.homestead.com/*
saved the html page from Goalscorers detail and then opened it in EXCEL and it looks fine
there are 120 pages but I'm willing to do them while I wait for the next set of pills in the Sandyford Sunshine Home
Now can someone build that into a data base or sommat we can all access?
Depending on how you make the excel doc, there should be some tools to pull data from excel to MySQL. I can host database and website, if it should be needed. I'm still waiting for that webcrawler to reconstruct the original website, but it's taking a bit longer than i assumed.

There used to be a brilliant one (toonstats.homestead.com) which had absolutely everything from 1892 up until about 2006. But the bloke who run it was tragically killed in accident. His missus was requesting for someone to take it over but it looks like she failed as it's no longer around..
His wife gave me permission to take over the stuff and carry it on, trouble was she didnt have the passwords which, at the time would have meant everything was basically to be copied over by hand. I have to admit since then I forgot about it.
If people on here are willing to help out with it though then I'll dig it back out and take a look at screen-scraping the whole site into some form of database.
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but that seems a bit impossible with the site being down.
One could probally get it all of the wayback machine. And to save time, it could be done via some wget script.
I've requested a backup of the site, via http://warrick.cs.odu.edu which is a tool that collects data via various search engines and archive.org. It might take a few days though

Huseklepp rumours back on, though considering the source, probally bullshit
http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=186790
Them asking for 4 million and him waiting out for Chelsea.... i think not.
More reliable source is saying, that he is negotiating a extension on his deal with Brann. For those who read norwegian http://fotball.bt.no/eliteserien/article161310.ece
-
There is a story in a norwegian newspaper today, about how an investement company paid the signon fee, of 500.000 £ when Huseklepp last signed with Brann. They are very interested in retaining some of that money again, since they apparently did the same thing with Eirik Bakke, and stands to loose about 25 million norwegian kroner, if all the players in last year of contracts leaves.
I'd imagine that Brann needs to ship out some players, and recoup some of that money for the investetment group behind Brann.
Any news on a newcastle bid?
Bergens Tidende has a story confirming the interest from Newcastle, but also quoting the club on not receiving any offers yet. The club and supports seem pretty resigned on loosing him in this window, and they'd rather cash in, than let him leave on a bosman

Skjelbred is a good tippeligaen player, but not near Premier league or barely Championship standard (Yes he is amazing in FM ). While Huseklepp is a striker who scores for fun. A few great goals from totally weird angles aswell. He has both the technique, pace and finishing ability to be a good premier league player. Though what ive read from norwegian papers is he will cost around 40m kr(about 4m pounds) Only him and Anthony Annan are the players worth a try from Norway at present.
The 4 million £ was what they wanted in the summer. Now is different. Brann needs to ship of players, to get the wage bill down. Their finance is not that good. If Brann where to sell Huseklepp, i think they'll be in for Thorstein Helstad. He's in his last year of contract also. Danish club Brøndby where rumourd to be interested in him, after they sold Morten Rasmussen to Celtic. If there is anything in those rumours I'd think he would be priced around 1.5 million £ instead
-
Brann Bergen claims no clubs have made any formal inquiries for Huseklepp according to norwegian newspaper, Bergens Tidende
-
someone mentioned him on here last week I think
then again someone mentioend routledge and we went for him
I said it would be a better option, to go for him, than Ofere from Malmö. Huseklep is primarly a striker, but with technic and pace enough, to be able to play as a winger. His has been pretty hot in scandinavia for a while, but he have been a bit pricy. Things are different now. Brann Bergen are in a bad finacial state, and he is in his last year of contract.
If Newcastle where to go for any strikers in scandinavia he would be one of the best options.
-
Supposed to be shit.
Didn't exactly set the swedish premiership alight recent years, so you are probally right. Newcastle would be better of going for Erik Huseklepp from Brann Bergen. He's also in his last year of contract, and Brann Bergen are not to sound financially this days

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Tyneside last summer, and they are now again to keep tabs on him.
Magpies scouts were present to watch Malmo's first pre-season friendly as they beat Danish side Koge 5-1, with the Nigerian grabbing two goals.
Malmo say they have not heard anything from Newcastle.
"If Newcastle are interested in Ofere then it's just for them to contact us but they need to hurry up as the transfer window closes soon," says Malmo's CEO Pelle Svensson to Fotbolldirekt.
"We haven't heard anything yet. But we are ready for an offer on Ofere.
"No club has contacted us since the last season ended, but of course we are prepared. We need to be with a player like Ofere.
"Of course we have a plan if Ofere would leave. We need to have."
Ofere, 23, refused to comment on the latest speculation.
"It's my agent who handles all that." Ofere told Kvallsposten.
"I am focusing on Malmo FF. I am not going to move now."
Hmmm
What I've been told today, he is a bit lazy, fairly okay with his head and up untill this season, not very dangerous. He's about managed a goal in every three game or so. Some danish clubs have been looking at him, but nothing has been concrete. From what i've heard, he doesn't really sound like he'd be much better than what's in the squad already.
-
Judging by his Wikipedia page, he has not exactly set to world alight during his career. From United to a failure at Port Vale and then to Denmark - not really sure he is really up to the level they we need. Probably only a squad player so would hope he came very cheap + on tiny wages if the rumours does appear to be true.
Is his brother the one that plays for Burnley now? He also does not seem to great. Not exactly the new Nevilles or Ferdinands.
Yes. His brother went to Burnley. I'd imagine he would max be on somethink like 4000 a month, at this point.

According to danish site, bold.dk, News Of The World today brings a story about Newcastle, along with Middlesbrough, Swansea and Crystal Palace, showing interest in english left back, Adam Eckersley. In 2006 he went from Man Utd to Brøndby, but for the last year and a half, he have been playing for 1. division side AC Horsens in Denmarkl. He's out of contract in the summer.
I don't remember him setting the danish premiership alight, and he's is now playing in the second tier, which doesn't at all compare to the championship.
-
A kid who plays for my five a side team, he's a bit of a nob to be honest, around the time of the 1986 WC he actually supported Denmark over England, they were a great team with a horrible kit. I remember one of Laudrup's goals against Uruguay, so unbvelievably well balanced ghosted round the keeper as if he wasn't there and passed it in to the net off the Uruguay player. It's interesting that the Danes acknowledge that they couldn't play like the Germans and be spoken to like Germans, because they are more free spirited, they are not robots like the krauts who have been used to taking orders for over a century, the Danes are more like us than any other nationality in my view.
his vision also made this amazing goal in 98
-
Won in 92 with a dodgy side.
Perhaps the most overused phrase in international football but Holland should've won. Denmark didn't even qualify though
They got in because Yugoslavia were chucked out on account of the war didn't they?
Aye. Most of the Danish players were on their hols iirc.
Yes. Yugoslavia got banned, and Richard Møller spent the next 48 hours at the phone calling players home from drunken vacations. They showed up in a terrible state. Piontek never really got the booze mentality out of those players. The footage of the national team arriving back in Copenhagen the day after the final in 92 is also legendary. They where insanely hung over
It was an amazing diplay of camaraderi and individual efforts. I'll never forget Schmeichel towering out in the area in the final against Germany, pick the ball out of the air with one hand. 86, 92 and 98 where amazing moments in Danish football.
And thanks for this amazing read

3.5 million £ a year, with a payrise if Newcastle are promoted.
:icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
It does sound a bit unlikely. Danish newspaper are making the story out like Løvenkrands has had the golden touch of Dionysus
Possibly Kroners? (sp?)
The amount mentioned is 25-30 million danish kroners, which by todays exchange rate is ROUGHLY 2.9-3.5 million
England v USA

Feilhaber is gutless and useless. He haven't set anything alight in Denmark, apart from his club getting relegated
