It's ok though, Taylor is still inexperienced and has been playing alongside shite for a while, that's why his progress has been hindered. Nothing to do with his lack of ability of course. He shows up experienced International (with experience in a World Cup) player Fabricio Coloccini as well. Anything for a dig at Taylor, eh? Rather than showing him up, Bassong compliments Collocini well. Unlike Taylor. The only reason Collocini is not getting any stick is because he is new to the country. He looks weak and prone to the odd clanger. Agreed, that he does look better with Bassong next to him though. There's no doubt he's still adapting to the physicality and speed. In the air he looks poor but when the ball is on the deck he looks assured. He's a good player, there's no doubt about that.

Peter, was Leazes walking alongside the two of us after the match? not that I know of mate ...... I've seen PP by the way and knew what he looks like, whether I would recognise him again I'm not sure but I think so. You wouldn't be able to see his face for the clouds.

Shows up Geordie Boy Steven Taylor something rotten.

My lasses Dad was on ITV not long ago. It was that Tyne Tees programme Show People (IIRC). He's the bass player in one of the featured bands.

Enrique will get more consistant as he gets older. Remember he's still only a bairn and he hasn't had the easiest of rides so far. He's impressed me over the past few games though so hopefully he's gettng a bit more confident. Bassong is lush though

I once had a drink with a bloke who had caught Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon's dog after it had escaped from his big house. [/Viz]

Get him tied down. He was one hell of a find.

I went on one years ago. Met Sir Les, who was hanging around for no apparent reason and got his autograph. The next day he moved to Spurs and it dawned on us he was probably saying goodbye to everyone

Are you mental? He had a tonne of money behind him and he was still only just treading water with Sunderland. This is a man who dropped some of his best players because of how they held themselves when running onto the training pitch.
-
I don't know how I feel about this. The pace of Oba and Lovenkrands is going to be a huge help but whether we'll try to get the ball to them without hoofing it skywards is another matter

A huge 2 quid on Jonas to get the first goal. 24/1 at Betfair.

I really hope not. I don't want that man anywhere near my club.
-
Nasty little bloke. When he was at Sunderland people seemed to fawn over him because he was 'straight talking' when actually he was just a cunt.

Same here. She may be raising money for her bairns (who aren't going to be badly off as their father is a TV personality anyway) but SBR deserves the same if not more praise for his efforts. The bloke is a true legend. -
A week or two ago my Grandma had the old videos out of me and my brother when we were bairns. On one part I was dicking around the in garden with a trowl (Green fingered kid) and on the radio in the background the Hillsborough disaster was kicking off. It was really bizarre listening to it.

Anyone else find it funny that The Sun are celebrating the fact her husband has had his curfew relaxed when if it had been anyone else in a similar situation they'd have went into full blown indignant hissy fit mode?
-
I wouldn't wish the illness on her (despite the fact she's an awful racist) or anyone in a million years, however I do find the whole media circus distateful. I know she's 'only doing it for her kids' but their father is Jeff Brazier of bidup/ITV2 fame so they're still going to be really quite well off even if she didn't sell the rights to every single one of her last days on earth. I'd have much more respect if she donated the cash she raises to a chairty organisation. I can't help but compare her situation with the one of Sir Bobby. Both very seriously ill, both trying to raise money but one going about it in the most dignified way possible and the other, well...not.

Despite what Leazes claims Shepherd was always in charge

Aye, but their money problems effectively consigned them to relegation as they had to start selling players and bring in shite to replace it. I do like the fact we're in some way cupable for the state Leeds are in now as we beat them to fourth place in 01/02 thus starting their financial troubles True. Ridsdale's plans all hinged on them qualifying for the CL every year. A very dangerous assumption. Think we came from behind to beat them that season as well Newcastle = Leeds killers

I have the Fake Shieks book and I can confirm he was only talking about our ladies of the night and NOT our wimmin in general.

People were predicting prior to Ashley coming in that we couldn't continue spending the way we were.
-
Now's the time to pick a side. Which of the cunts would you rather have? The gobshite who showed a tonne of ambition but almost drove the club to financial ruin or the mute who has the finances in check but would rather count his money that spend it so we avoid the drop? Place yer bets now.
