We’ve been in some uncomfortable financial straits recently, but the light at the end of the tunnel is rapidly nearing and burning bright.

You've either entered the Squid Game or you've finally found someone interested in buying corpses?

That clip is exactly why Keane is a hopeless pundit. He just calls everyone shite, it’s played out and boring tbh. The direction NUFC is heading is clear to anyone but he comes out with that patter as always.

Of course plums like that mackem lass on there lap it up, without thinking through what his opinion of their club is given where NUFC are compared to most.

Aye it's just the professional grouch schtick. As if a team that, since the takeover has progressed deep into the domestic cup competitions, and didn't embarrass themselves in the Champions League, is going anywhere but up. Especially given our backing.

He's just a bitter old cunt.

Don't forget that we've not exactly set the world alight in our last two games. We looked second rate against Palace the entire game and the bottom team lead and created loads of chances against us at home. Not a single remaining game is straightforward for us.

I've seen cephalopod with more backbone.

Drank a Shirley Temple with more spirit.

Watched a darts match with more balls.

You're like a shiver waiting for a spine.

Is this a thing, free poppadoms? I'm not sure it is.

Mind, if I don't get free prawn crackers with my Chinese there will be hell on.

In a restaurant, yeah. Takeaways? Not so much.

  6. Genuinely think we've a very good chance of 6th now. Can't see them beating Arsenal and I can see them dropping more points as Ten Hag spends most of his remaining weeks looking for things to spend his pay-off on.

I think you should have the balls to see out your bets.

I do, unless something happens to dramatically alter the likelihood of a win. E.g. Martinez going off injured and Olsen replacing him. Olsen cannot play like Martinez, just like Dubravka cannot play like Pope. Couple that with the individual quality in the Chelsea side, Emery's intractable adherence to that suicidal high line and of course, the Genocide

Discretion is the better part of valor. Cashing out was genius. If I listened to you I wouldn't be browsing for a new amp.

    Villa 2-0 Chelsea

Had a Villa win as part of my ACCA, cashed out as soon I saw that Martinez went off injured. Villa mate says their deputy is "a fucking liability".

  9. Something like 160 votes won it for the Lib Dems last time, so I'll definitely be doing my part. Already voted Burnham for Mayor and Lib Dem for council.

Postal vote because I'm not putting any faith in my awareness of what day is voting day.

    Well, especially IMO :cuppa:

Yeah, I don't see the problem, really. He's one of the few non-absolutelyfucking-vital players that we could get decent money for. Plus he must be one of the better paid players?

  11. Any kind of Europe would be an excellent return on this season and with the games we have left, we've got a good shot at it.

Plus, even though I don't get to go to games much (if at all) playing some random Latvian team is tonnes of fun.

I think he's been found out. You can play that high line in the SPL because of the relative quality of Celtic vs the rest of the league. You just can't do it in a stronger league - even Man City would lose too many games to win the league if he tried it with their squad.

Looked mint when he first turned up, and he was a breath of fresh air in terms of interviews etc.

But I think they're in for a much tougher season next time out. Which is great news for us.

Emery plays the same suicidal high line, Howe stuck with it for too long as well.

With the right keeper you can get away with it more often than not. Villa have Martinez and we have Pope so we can rely on them, not sure Vicario is the same profile of keeper though

It's the NW red cunt massive sense of entitlement syndrome. Your neck of the woods now, fish, are you now desensitised to it?

To be fair the Man Utd fans I know are pretty reasonable. They don't think £20m is a fair price but agree £2m is just them chancing their arm.

But then I'm in Cheshire, so it's not like I'm having to explain it with crayons for lads from Longsight or Moss Side.

Mind, even the lads I do know still have that sense of entitlement. I'm sure I said it on here before, but some were bemoaning how dominant Man City are and how that's made the league boring. I pointed out the irony with a "What? Like you lot in the 90s?"

Unsurprisingly they're in favour of PSR, to stop 'mental spending'. 😂 They also agree with scrapping replays, because they've so many injuries. Like I said, that sense of entitlement remains.

  14. Still don't understand the Man Utd fans reaction to is holding a man to the terms in his contract? Apparently it's small time to state that they either pay an acceptable amount of compensation, or they wait until his gardening leave finishes.
