Think they'll come up this season like, with or without Bates, very strong rumours they're the latest club to be bought by Arab billionaires. I don't know why you'd buy Leeds before us like.

"Not that I'm aware of no." Isn't no. Amazing how many people see the same thing go on every year and are swayed by sensationalist headlines. I'll quote this post on Saturday.
-
I'd agree our defence needs strengthening, but worse back fours than Simpson Colo Saylor and Santon have qualified for the Champions League. Liverpool in the 80s often went seasons without signing anyone, because they were good enough, just because other people are buying it doesn't mean they're passing us or their squad is poorer. A good team doesn't become worse because others are buying, we do need a defender though AND a striker.

Look I'm the most deluded Toon fan there is. We can come higher than 5th, if Borussia Dortmund can win the Bundesliga quite often without ANY artificial investment we can certainly become Champions League regulars. However, in the modern game money is everything. When FFS had control our turnover was £99m, Tottenham's was £78m. In 9 years that has reversed because of poor revenue maximisation, poor performance and devaluing of the brand under the Ashley regime to the tune that £21m that we were above Spurs, is now £73m that we are behind them in terms of annual revenue. That's just Tottenham (a club who I will ALWAYS regard us as bigger than). Man Utd and Arsenal earn three times as much as us. Liverpool are wealthier than Tottenham. So in terms of finance we are punching well, well, well above our weight, so fifth is currently a massive achievement for us, and you're a fucking nob if you think otherwise. If we can consistently come 4th, 5th, 6th, sponsorship money will go through the roof, there'll be more media money, the ground will never see an empty seat and our revenue will rise and we can become a consistently well ran club like Valencia were in the late 90's early 00's or BVB have been in the last 5 or 6 years.

Less than 20% of this message board will know who George Gently is and the only Bacchus normal people know is in the toon. Nothing worse than someone trying to be funny when they're absolutely incapable of it. LakeBellsTits you talk shit. The players we have are good players, you ask whether they are content coming 5th, I think the majority would be to be honest. At the end of the day if we come 5th we'll have come above Liverpool who are a bigger club than us, Tottenham who are a richer club than us, and Everton who are a more successful club than us. These are players we've grabbed from inferior clubs right around Europe and we've given them the opportunity to play in the upper echelons of the most famous, interesting football league in the world. The fact is every club in this country is open to their players being poached, even Man Utd couldn't keep Ronaldo, so I think you're talking pish. There'll be no mass walk out here, and it would take global clubs to move the likes of Ben Arfa and Tiote. The team spirit is brilliant here, players don't work for each other when they're not happy, the effort at home to Man City last season, and Tottenham this season showed to me we have a happy camp who will fight for the cause.

He knows fuck all that bloke. A sad indictment of him is you know far more about football than him. He's Lee Ryder-lite, he says to me the other day we should have signed Michael Kightly, he genuinely has no contacts and has never delivered an exclusive.

Spot on about catchment area. They have 4 teams in a direct area of more than 3m people, between them, Birmingham, Wolves and WBA they got 101,000 people going to games on average last season, Tyne & Wear is 1/3rd of their population, yet 91,000 went and watched our two clubs. They are barely human, even if you were from Moldova you're likely to have more about you than if you're from Birmingham. Racist cunts too in my experience. They go on about their massive trophy cabinet, is the League Cup a major trophy? I never class it as such, Newcastle for one have never taken it seriously. With that in mind Villa won just 6 (SIX) trophies in the 20th century, we won 11. They won the majority of their meaningful trophies in the 1800s when people were putting tabs oot on the half way line at kick off. That is the main reason they consider themselves as a big club, their "heritage" we have a far better 20th century heritage yet are told by all and sundry "you've won fuck all." That is the only thing Villa have over us, 19th century trophies. We are TEN TIMES bigger than VIlla, by any other measurement and I'm sure the ones (20% of them) who haven't got fat expressionless faces living in a brummie highrise know this deep down. They just have no identity, they don't have an identity. Not one person in football could use that stick to beat us with, but they won the European Cup taking 10,000 fans to Rotterdam, and they have nothing, when you mention the word "Villa" even it's a conversation killer, "those boring bastards", no one wants to talk about them, no one is interested, the most dour people on these islands, and the most dour club on these islands. Even their club motto is fucking boring "Proud History, Bright Future". "Boring Cunts, Who The Fuck Are You?" would be more apt.

Looks like it's going to be a sell out, looking at the stadium map, there looks to be about 500 tickets left everywhere. The only empty seats will be in the Villa end. Now lets face it Villa are shite, do they have one player that would improve our first eleven? One? No definitely not, even Shay who was one of Europe's best looks a pale shadow, but lets not get cocky and think all we have to do is turn up and win the game. Every piece of logic going points to a comfortable home win but a 1-0 will do, hopefully without any injuries hindering the squad from Thursday nights game. We have to face facts and one fact is we may be without Tiote and Cabaye because they may have left by then. On the hand if that happens we'll probably sign someone like M'Vila and or have Carroll back, either way a win is the most important thing, hopefully with more goals than last seasons disappointing 2-1 win against them. The bloke HMHM on here once wrote, "Aston Villa are so boring they should run out to Barry Manilow songs, and wear beige strips." I honestly believe they're more boring than that even. Even the yank owner is bored of them, it doesn't matter what he does, £200 season tickets, investing funds they naturally haven't got on the squad, they rarely improve and rarely get over 32,000 at home games. In essence they world footballs most boring club, the highlight of their recent history was relegating us, I was there that day, and I guarantee if they had've won a trophy they wouldn't have celebrated any more. We'd have done fuck all if the shoe was the other foot, some would've been happy because it would've been one less trip to the biggest wankhole in Western Europe, but they exist but we don't care. It all changed that day, they had their day in the sunshine out our expense, and I will hate them for the rest of my life because of it. They are a pitiful club with world sports most boring followers, I hope render them with no lube big time. http://www.villatalk.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=printview&t=70594&start=15 Read that link, especially the bits about us. They're so dour it's almost like they're a malfunctioning computer program spouting every myth going about us. They also all said they'd come above us Wanks. Howay the lads, and lets hope there's a few AC 11 shirts dotted about by kick off time. If we turn up I think we'll win 4-0.

Best not to speak ill of the dead, so it's best most people just put RIP imo.

Typical Scotsman. RIP

Been in twice, beers shite and its full of new age huckles. Would rather have a pint in the Black Garter than there.
-
Most of them are wanks mate who are in no way representative of the clubs core support, you know this though.
-
Utter bollocks. Tell me a club in the world who have averaged over 48,000 in 12 of the last 13 seasons, who have two generation of supporters who haven't seen ANY success. Tell me who are better.

You haven't had sex for 4 years, if at all in my opinion. Think about it logically. Someone from a town which has no self-esteem, often discussed as being in the three worst cities in Britain, comes on a message board abusing the amount of fans we take (which was 100 not 47 according to the EC) to watch our reserve team go through the motions, cheapest flight £600 in a time of economic hardship, forgetting that you'd need to be 38 to have been born to be alive the last time Sunderland were in Europe, or at least 51 years of age to have been a teenager then, while Newcastle will play their 120th European tie on Thursday. What a daft cunt, if you can't see you're a daft cunt then you have problems, even if you can see you're a daft cunt you have problems to be fair, because there's been a thought process involved when making the decision to type "47 fans". "A nar ahl waa-eeend oop tho-ase magg-eas, they 'ayut bea-un toawald the trewth.", Sunderland people will always be looked down on by us in a way not seen since the end of Apartheid in South Africa, for the next 50 years while people like you exist.

The cunt should be put in a 10 foot microwave.

Why do the majority of pubs sell Fosters and Carling when they're fucking awful?

If you live in Oslo or the area where it happened, 77 kids died. They probably all knew 100 people well. So that's maybe 7,700 people who are related to a victim, so it's not obscene to imagine everyone in this little pocket of Norway knows a friend or relative of the victim. That is the impact one man had. People on about rehabilitation, and flowery words about state legal systems. Fuck off. You're mentally ill. The bloke should be made to suffer a horrific existence, or killed. End of story, and I'm pretty sure 99% of the families wouldn't give a flying fuck about his "rehabilitation". Some people exist beyond reality on this forum, I can only presume it's anti-depressants.
-
He enjoyed destroying families, he laughed when he did it, he enjoyed destroying many hundreds more lives than that of just the victims. There's a legacy from what he did, he's evil, evil people should be killed.
-
Why would you want to rehabilitate a mass murderer. I can't understand the logic of why society needs to, or what it would get out of it. If one of your children was amongst the 77 dead, I'm pretty sure you'd look at that differently. In the 60's someone was killed under the death penalty but later proven innocent, now I'm not saying blanket bring back the death penalty, but this man has been proven in a court of law that he murdered 77 kids, under free will, that's how much value for life he has, so surely his lack of value for life which is proven beyond doubt, then he should face a similar fate.
-
ffs The Norwegians are more PC than we are. He should've been tortured to death for 3 years that cunt.

He's not that good, I think he'll go to Arsenal anyway.
