  1. Martins header hits post. Grrrr Edit: Nobby
  2. Oooh, Martins close again... Cone on lads, one more!
  3. Well that's a recipe for disaster, if ever I saw one!! We can't defend with 4 defenders what makes you think we'd be better with three!?!? Don't worry mate, Roeder will play it safe, keep his 4-4-2, sit back and watch us go 3 and 4-1 behind...
  4. What a pathetic performance so far IMO we should: a.) Change formation to 3-4-3. b.) Bring on Luque for Carr. Given Huntington - Butt - Edgar Solano - Dyer - Parker - O'Brien Milner - Martins - Luque
  5. Exactly... Who was saying earlier in the thread that we would win easily, because WHam hacen't scored away in yonks? Clearly that was only further indication they'd hammer us. Wasn't me!
  6. Robben off (injured), SWP on. Could be a 4 or 5-0 game this.
  7. I agree, he's quality. Apparently Big Sam thinks he's worth much more that the £2m Chelsea hed rejected... (£3-4m?), but then again IF Ben Haim won't extend, he'll have to sell... IMO we should try with a bid for Distin. His contract is up next summer, and I think he would be a very good partner for Taylor. Ferdinand and Silvestre - no thanks!
  8. ...the fact that West Ham have not scored in nine successive away games in the Premiership - 888 minutes tbp. Exactly, Newcastle are always the fall guy in these situations! WHU will score tomorrow, i'm certain of it. Hope you're wrong. Btw, looks like they'll play with Harewood and Sheringham in attack. Zamora and Tevez isn't in the squad.
  9. My guess is a 3-0 home win, and us being above Spurs at this time tomorrow
  10. ...the fact that West Ham have not scored in nine successive away games in the Premiership - 888 minutes tbp.
  11. Luque + £6m would be a fair price imo. btw, my guess is that Roeder's talking about Rio's brother and that he'll undergo a medical after the game on saturday. Just a gut feeling...
  12. Ajax won't sell for less than £10m.
  13. Not much of a surprise.... Newcastle United: Shay Given, Nolberto Solano, Kieron Dyer, Obafemi Martins, James Milner, Antoine Sibierski, Nicky Butt, Peter Ramage, Steven Taylor, Paul Huntington, Matty Pattison Subs: Steve Harper, David Edgar, Alan O'Brien, Andy Carroll, Kazenga LuaLua Birmingham City: Maik Taylor, Mathew Sadler, Martin Taylor, Matthew Upson, Sebastian Larsson, Cameron Jerome, Bruno N'Gotty, Damien Johnson, Fabrice Muamba, Gary McSheffrey, DJ Campbell Subs: Julian Gray, Mehdi Nafti, Colin Doyle, Neil Kilkenny, Neil Danns Referee: Peter Walton. Only change as far as I can see is LuaLua in, Troisi out.
  14. Well time will tell mate. I'm just relieved he's not coming here. IMO he's too slow to play in the PL. Serie A (and the nightlife in Milano) will suit him better.
