  1. Glorying?? Simply vilifying would be more appropriate. What's this about a Chelsea fan dying after a brick assault on Tuesday? You're right about the jealousy though, I wish I was scouse, such a lovely accent, lovely people, lovely city, good looking tall people too, it certainly does boil down to jealousy. Your answer says it all. I know I'm right in what I've said. You're a sad, lonely individual with a giant inferiority complex, who has the continual need for other people to agree with him. Bet you don't post on any Liverpool boards, and why would I want to do that??? I find scousers dull, repetitive, boring, classless, tedious, annoying, arrogant, cringeworthy, repulsive, basically once you've spoken to one you've spoken to them all....so explain to me just why I would want to post on a board with people like that? Coming from someone like you it makes me even prouder to be a Scouser. You don't post on Liverpool boards because you know your shit would be ripped apart in seconds. Why pre-empt what I know. As I've said I find you people tedious, the humour is shit, and the fact I'm geordie and they're scouse dictates it's nigh on impossible to rip me to shreds. I find it impossible to believe anyone could be truly proud of being scouse. Your very essence is one of self pity. You mean you haven't got the bottle. You haven't answered my question though. Why want I want to converse with a bunch of granny robbing, car thieving, giro swindling, Thatcher abusing, Chelsea blaming nobheads on a MB of a club I can't stand. Explain exactly why I would want to do that. Besides you being obsessed with us? I would think you'd have great joy at being able to reach the source of all your jealousy, hate and inferior feelings, telling them exactly what you think they are, judging by your posts on here anyway. You just haven't got the bottle at all. I'm quite proud of being a Thatcher abuser. I haven't got the bottle to type insults to strangers on the internet????? What are you a wierdo? You have that right. Weirdo? It's not me who goes round doing secret ballots about people who have nothing whatsoever to do with me. Still can't believe anyone could be that sad.

  7. The biggest boos I've heard this season were at Analfield when Marseille beat you 0-1. I pity you as does a nation at large, I work in London some of the time, and often do discreet straw polls when I'm in the office, and everyone of them, apart from one cockney murderers fan, thinks scousers are cunts. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Your jealousy seems to be about everything Scouse and not just football. For someone to be even thinking about taking straw polls about something/people that he has nothing whatsoever to do with is quite revealing about your sad personality. I'd be ashamed to even have the thought of canvassing other people about Newcastle or Geordies or any other club and their fans. Sounds like you have a giant inferiority complex. Why use the word murderers, our name is Liverpool, is it that you think it will lessen your own feelings of inadequacy? Or did you lose someone at Heysel, if so I offer my condolences and can understand your hate, but if you weren't there and weren't affected what's it got to do with you? Glorying in tragedy is low even for a boorish person like you.
  8. If that's the truth accross the pond it doesn't hurt at all to be honest. Well done. I suppose you must be right about Rafa as well. Maybe we should have gone for Keegan. At least you'd see a canny game now and then. I already do thanks all the same.

  10. I don't I was there, 10,003 if I wasn't there, the people who didn't go had a legitimate reason, namely a boycott to get rid of Gordon McKeag, we won and the rest is history. We had been raped and pillaged for two decades, but people who jumped on the SKY bandwagon from various parts of the country obviously wouldn't know this. They had no excuse, 33,000 3 years after a unique treble, because the team was ONLY fourth, they're a shit supported club, gloryhunting nobheads, if you look at how succesful they've been over the last 40 years, since 2000/2001 look at it this way, I bet they've had more league gates under 40,000 (paying cheaper prices) than we've had under 50,000. And you've had far more under 30, 000 than we've had since the war. So what? Over the years both clubs in this city have been well supported. There've been bad times for both. We were very successful in the '80's but unemployment being as it was in this country at the time people had to make choices, it's not cheap to be in Europe every year. That might have something to do with the 15 league titles 7 FA Cups 7 League Cups 5 European Cups and 3 UEFA Cups you've won, opposed to being raped and pillaged by greedy directors for half a decade, with no success? Just a thought like.... Aye you were the only ones effected by unemployment, the North East was a workers Utopia wasn't it. 30,000 in Division Two 1984 NUFC, 31,000 Champions of England and Europe 1984 LFC. If you read my post I said unemployment in this country. 1984 has you down for another under 30,000, not by much but under all the same. 1984 for us meant getting to European games and final, League Cup games and final, and ordinary league games. I'm sure if we hadn't been fighting on 3 fronts all season our league attendances would have been higher but does it really matter all that much? Oh dear, the fact you've quibbled over 189 people 29,811 Must've been a right wrench going to all those high profile games, my heart bleeds for yous. I get the impression you like to quibble over details. It wan't a wrench at all, it was fantastic.

  12. http://www.lfchistory.net/viewgame.asp?game_id=2471 Liverpool 3 - 0 Portsmouth Game Date :: 17.03.2004 Competition :: Premier League Stadium :: Anfield Spectators :: 34,663 http://www.lfchistory.net/viewgame.asp?game_id=4867 Liverpool 1 - 1 Portsmouth Game Date :: 14.12.2004 Competition :: Premier League Stadium :: Anfield Spectators :: 35,064 Didn't mention average gates, but 33-34,000 for league games pathetic, notice against Pompey as well, note they had no bother getting 45,000 for their glory games against us and Man Utd. They all came flocking back after they won the CL though, funny that. Came flocking back after the CL is a bit ott even for someone like you. So we had a low gate for a couple of games, the average for 2004 was still 42, 706 and we are still 2nd in the all time attendances league. Only because we spent 24 years of our existence in the second tier, as a club you haven't averaged over 50,000 in your history. And in those 24 years you sure had some shit averages. Are you saying then that Newcastle fans only started to fill the ground when it looked as though you might win something? When have we looked like winning something? You couldn't even fill yours when you were the best side in Europe, which goes back to my point about you being a shit supported club. You come fourth and crowds dive down to 33,000 (IN THE SKY JESTERS HAT ERA TOO). You win the European Cup next thing you know there's 40 odd thousand for CL prelim games, as opposed to 28,000 CL gates just a few years earlier and 22,000 UEFA Cup gates. Again I'll say, we are still 2nd in the all time attendance league.

  17. Good chatting to you lads. Maybe someday Scousers and Geordies can get back to how they used to be with each other. Always looked forward to that game with the Geordies in town. A good piss up and no bad feeling or hate just a good laugh.
  18. He's given quite a few a chance in the first team the last being Plessis against Arsenal in last weeks league game.
  19. Pennant has been great for us most of the time, far better than Duff for you. The problem for Pennant is his lack of goals. Benitez likes all of his midfielders to be able to score 4 or 5 a season. We'll well get our money back for him imo. Kuyt had a bit of bad form earlier in the season but I wouldn't swap what he offers the team. He doesn't stop, the guy must have 4 lungs. He's worth having in any team just for the way he harries, annoys and gets in the way of defenders. He tracks back very well and is always there trying to get the ball back. Crouch was a great buy and was a big factor in us finishing only a few points behind Manure the season before last. He doesn't fit in to Rafas preferred system of 4-2-3-1 unfortunately but I hope he stays. He's been worth every penny to us. Voronin cost nothing and is shite. Arbeloa at 2 million has been a good buy and a good squad player. Aurelio cost nothing and is also a good squad player.
  20. Btw, not a lot of money wasted on mediocrity at all. The players that could be considered bad were brought in as stop gaps, costing very little money. I'd say he's about 4 or 5 million out of pocket on bad buys.
  21. I've seen both bad and brilliant performances in the league. I have disagreed with some of the team selections but I've always seen the progression. Park Life Is that it? Is that all you have to offer?
  22. As I said, no use looking for honesty about Liverpool on here.
  23. Don't be sorry, it's all about opinions. Maybe you could back it up with facts.
  24. 4th being the minimum requirement and guaranteeing CL. Benitez was brought here to try and do what he did at Valencia by bringing in players who could progress LFC without a lot of money to spend. He has done that and earned the club an awful lot of money through the Champions League. As far as the Premiership goes he's progressed us to the point where we just need those 2 or 3 top quality players to get us on the right track for an assault on the title. You say he's spent a lot of money but in reality our first team squad is worth considerably less than Manures and Chelsea. We bought Skirtl in Jan for 6 million. That was a record signing for a defender at Liverpool. Compare that to Rio at 30 million and so it goes on. Last summer was the first chance he had to start buying more quality in Torres and Babel. Prior to that his only 10 million plus player was Alonso. He's brought lots of young players to the club and the reserves, managed by a Rafa apponted Gary Ablett, have just won the Northern reserve league with two matches to go, but they'll take a couple of seasons to be ready, although I expect, with the new 7 subs ruling we'll see a few on the bench next season. Plessis, Nemeth and Insua are the 3 most likely imo. So yes Rafa has progressed our club and with more time will progress it even further. It's quite easy to get to 5th place in the Prem, it's very hard to make that final step in to top four though.
  25. Torres, why do you ask such a question on this board? Surely, by reading the rest of it, you realise that you'll never get a fair or honest opinion about Liverpool on it. There are so many wrong 'facts' on here that it would take a Philadelphia lawyer to sort them out. Forget it, we won 5-3 on agg, we're through to the semis for the 9th time, on merit. Arsenal play sublime football at times, totally outplayed us for the first 20 minutes, but once big Sami scored we came in to our own. To the two that say the atmosphere at Anfield was bad and that it would be/was better at your ground all I can say is you must be deaf or so blinded by envy you can't see what's in front of you. I was at Anfield and can assure you the place was rocking to it's foundations, there wasn't a minute when there was no noise. Not as good as Chelsea 05 granted but still better than most.
