  1. Back in the 1950s? When we we getting similar in the 2nd?
  2. Rubbish, true fans stick with a club through thick and thin. Our attandances stayed at 33K when we went down.
  3. 16K, how can you use under 30 as a stick? 16K is terrible. There was a mass boycott i believe (i was only 9 at the time) and there was severe economic difficulties in the north east at that time, unemployment at its highest levels ever (?). Possibly worse post-85. What was yours that season? Wasn't it the season that the Leazes roof was taken off and the capacity of that end reduced by two thirds? That was probably it, i just remember there being some reason beyond the shite football. What about 91 when your ave attendance was 17K did the building work go on that long? How come in 1984, when you were winning the UEFA Cup and we were promoted from the 2nd division as 3rd best club do our attendance exceed yours? Anyway, Post War averages are as follows: Newcastle: 35,428 Spurs: 25,866 There's fuck all between the two clubs man! What do you say to that Douglas? Completely false. Spurs Average 35.8 NUFC average 35.4. Im just stating facts here when everybody thinks Im on the windup. Source? Wikipedia.

  5. Brilliant, in one thread, big it up. In another thread claim ignorance. Can't wait for Stevie to come wading in. Hopefully he'll bring WL with him for support.
  6. But we never claimed that we have the best fans in the country and it is such a special place to watch football...etc etc Whole town blah blah.
  7. 21k when finishing 8th in the top division in 88. Was there a boycoutt then too?

  10. Makes a bit of a mockery of all the best fans in the world rubbish though doesnt it? When the going gets tough and all that.
  11. 16K, how can you use under 30 as a stick? 16K is terrible.
  12. To be fair footballs popularity has boomed since the inception of the premier league. If you could keep those figures up after a couple of championship seasons I would be really impressed. 16K BTW
  13. Wow. Strange overreaction.
  14. Talking of which, I got your PM and I'm going to have to turn you down fella. Too much on my plate at the moment, what with here and wikipedia. Maybe next time eh?
  15. Another Toontastic improvement brought to you by Danny B.
  16. Win and we'll be safe. You support Hull then? Or Sunderland?
  17. That bell was doing my head in again last night.
  18. West Ham, Premier League, 2006-2007 West Ham defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of the season to cap one of the most audacious escape acts of all-time. The Hammers faced one of the most daunting fixture lists as they looked to escape the drop, but their Carlos Tevez inspired side pulled off some of the shock results of the season. Of the last nine games, West Ham won seven of them, including victories against Everton and away at Arsenal. It came down to the final day and future United player Tevez (pictured) scored the winner at Old Trafford, saving West Ham and condemning Sheffield United to relegation. The fall-out of West Ham's escape act saw them pursued through the courts for fielding ineligible players in the shape of Tevez and Javier Mascherano and ordered to pay Sheffield United millions of pounds in compensation. Despite this ugly end, West Ham's escape should be remembered for the magnificent performances that saw them beat the drop." Should have probably read the article.
  19. Surely West Ham winning 7 of their last nine must be up there.

Played one game for us on loan too. Clown of a man.
  21. "I really thought that I was going to die - incredible feeling of sadness and just how unfair that was." Maybe it would be unfair if you hadn't just chucked yourself out of a plane.
  22. Their gates will be 19-23000 next season I will bet you £500 right now. They have had pretty stable gates despite being rubbish since dropping out of the prem. What makes you draw that conclusion?
  23. Fish's first day at work obviously didn't go well.
  24. I would love to know where you got those figures from Stevie. Derby rarely fall below 25K for home games and are usually nearer the 30K mark
  25. You know what to do Tom
