The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread
OTF replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
I read that they're targeting in-form championship strikers so they can hit the ground running and have little to lose if we're relagated. Slightly underhwelming but understandable considering our current position. There's a Serbian striker tearing the league up currently that may be worth a shout. -

Nick "The Hammer" Hammond, prepare for some nailed on astute purchases. -
Honestly, I've played football for 20+ years at the highest level* and the referee stops play for something like that 99% of the time. The perfect opportunity was there when the ball was cleared out. 0.99% of the time the other team plays it out and the rest you're playing Liverpool. There's just no reason to allow play like that to go on, scoring against a team with a player on the ground in the middle of the box and another scrambling to get up and back into some sort of position is not competitive and nor does it promote good sportsmanship. * - that I'm capable of playing whilst often winning
-
Yeah it's the right call to let one vastly superior team play against 9 men whilst two of their players lay prone on the ground in the middle of the box.

TAA: "We haven't done anything unsportsmanlike"

Who'd have thought that Joelinton would be the player who looks most up for a relegation battle.
-
Liverpool are pretty one dimensional, that'll be enough for them to win most games but not to challenge for the title, remember where you heard it first.

Mary?
-
It's Man City next wouldn't be the worst time to get it, when does the count reset?
-
Well hit shot there, cleanup required in a few commentator's pants.

If this is a defensive drill where you're supposed to make a tackle then give the ball straight back to the attacking side then we're fucking exceptional at it.
-
"I picked up an injury in the other 800m I just ran against other even better schools, smashed 'em, you lads are lucky"
-
Wilson is going to get that yellow.
-
It's reached the level of absurd, but Howe knows if the ball gets to him he'll spring back to life again.
-
It's a valid point because a goal has never been scored where every touch wasn't towards the goal.
-
Salah leaves the pitch, defeated by Matt Ritchie.
-
Yes, glad to see the yellow out.
-
Commentary are moronic - saying that Fraser got the touch on the ball but because it was so so close they can't overturn the ref's decision. The whole inclusion of VAR is to correct decisions that were incorrectly made, if you can't use the advantage of multiple angles etc to do that then what's the point?
-
Through the player there?
-
Joelinton's yellow was soft as fuck as well, hurts because his enthusiasm in defense has been key in keeping us in touching distance.
-
I'm not even going to enjoy it if we get to the level where commentators and analysts are blowing smoke up our arse because we've been on the other end of it for so long.

Looked it in real time, though I think Dean's actually got it right (probably due to some base level guilt about playing on for their first goal) as there was heavier contact from their player before Lascelles came back. Still absolutely bone-headed from Lascelles.
