  1. Hayden's touch so bad it was good. Time to really go for the jugular.
  2. There was a patch where he wasn't lazy, but now I'd have him behind Longstaff, Ki and Diame in the pecking order. It feels like a matter of time before Hayden is dislodged by Ki or Diame, but happy for him to stay for the moment. Yes! There's the start we needed.
  3. They'll be dying to get back out there after that many good chances without making it count. Rondon owes us a goal or two, the missed header from Longstaff's cross and not squaring it for Almiron earlier. One goal will break them, Almiron ro get it early. I don't like having Yedlin out there on a yellow given he's our cover defender when we take set pieces combined with his frequent clumsiness in challenges.
  4. Far out... great ball Longstaff... Rondon wasteful there.
  5. Their whole side is rattled, let's hope we make it count soon.
  6. Gave the yellow because of their player's reaction, agreed very poor refereeing.
  7. The problem with the iteration in rugby league is that the on-field referees overuse the video ref for simple decisions. Most of the time the decisions are right but the effect of the stoppage impacts on the fluidity of the game. If the same began to occur with football it would have a greater negative impact on the game because football has fewer lengthy stoppages so is inherently more fluent. I'm definitely in favour of it, but only used where absolutely necessary and put a limit on the time the review can last. I also wouldn't mind if incidents were reviewed when the game has resumed and retrospectively righted. It gets more tricky in that scenario depending what has transpired after the incident, but at least the free flow of the game is maintained.
  8. I'd keep Ritchie in the team. Guaranteed to give 100% and to kick at least one opposing player.
  9. Still up for question. That was a thoroughly dull second half, highlight after the break was fans getting selfies with Rafa.
  10. 11 subs for the second half, strapped in for some Joselu gold.
  11. Lazy defending really, easy centre to an unmarked player after Darlow parried the save.
  12. Commentator is putting me to sleep, but given he's on his own can't be too harsh. Nice early ball in from Yedlin for Rondon to score.
  13. How tragic is it that I'm going to pay for this?
  14. I really hope they do start doing the same in the prem and everywhere else. It's the only way they'll start to change the ingrained culture.
  15. I thought the same even after the initial replays, may be down to the angle. In defense of the referee it would be hard to call from where he was, eyes tracking the ball coming in on a high trajectory, you'd see if go through Dubravka's hands and onto Boly. The camera from in the goal shows how far into his body Boly has come, look where Dubravka's feet are, in line with his hands then Boly's knees are pushing his body out. That's before considering his arm placement. Still, this discussion shouldn't be happening. There's no disputing the foul on Almiron in the lead up, that should have been the end of it.
  16. It's also the angle of the primary video feed, makes the contact look more incidental and doesn't show the knees into the arse. Seems Dubravka figured he'd been fouled, shut his eyes a moment and with hands across his shoulders and face missed the ball. If he had the moment again no doubt he would punch it regardless of the trajectory of the ball or contact.
  17. Scary also because our comments from 9 years ago are still relevant.
  18. And setting aside the interesting geography lessons and woefully poor attempts at WUMery, Wolves are at the pinnacle of their last 30 years and we're at our lowest point yet they're happy grabbing an at best questionable draw after regulation and injury time have expired. They should be enjoying the fact that for once they have a good manager and some good players but they plainly don't know how because it's unprecedented in their recent history.
  19. If Shelvey ever remembers that he's a player again Almiron is the type that could work phenomenally well with him.
  20. Yes, it bears repeating that Longstaff put in another excellent shift, such an exciting prospect and great fit for our current style of play.
  21. Have you changed your mind yet? I actually didn't think it was at first glance either, but the replays and some of the angles have put any doubt to bed. Dubravka could have done better (like kept his eyes open for a start) but in reality he shouldn't have had to.
  22. Expect to see this picture next season on the Wolves website for our away match. If we're lucky it will be a slideshow with this, the elbow on Perez and a wildly grinning Karl Henry.
