Start Ben Arfa in the middle again, but switch him after five minutes to the right. Although he wasn't great against Liverpool early in he game he pulled them out of position, contributing to the space out other players were enjoying.

We were surprising the better team from the get go. Liverpool's setup really did not seem to work at all, so despite them being regarded as having superior players they were second best. M'Biwa's foul was just plain silly. What we got after that was still surprisingly good considering we played more than half of the game a man down against a side who turned us over 6-0 less than six months ago. Dummet's finish was as composed as you'll see from a world class finisher, absolutely stoked for him. Plenty of nail biting moments late on, escaping with a point under the circumstances is a very good result. M'Biwa would want to be apologising his butt off to the rest of the team.

From gunshot wounds?

They often make us look silly. Hope it doesn't happen again.

I was out of the room for their goal. Evidently I have to take that all back!

Very important result there thanks to two wonderful Remy goals. At this rate it will be devestating when he heads back to London at the end of the season. For all his limitations Williamson has handled himself well in the last two games. His height and header winning ability is a clear advantage when he's on the pitch.

The first thing you notice about someone is their shoes? When they have a head like Obertan..... I wouldn't mind M'Biwa being stuck out on the left. Despite him being pretty poor at the back he should at least be more defensively inclined than Santon who lost interest in defending mid-way through last season.

I loved Lydia's phone call.

Everyone asleep there and a cracking shot from Cabaye.
-
Williamson on for M'Biwa. Cabaye on for Ben Arfa who has a slight knock apparently.

Is Pardew responsible for the goals conceded? Was he responsible for the goals conceded last week?
-
All of the goals have been completely avoidable. All of them down to poor defending. It's like it's a training run out there for the players, the way they're playing indicates they really don't care what the result is.

Can it get worse?
-
Once you discount them being better, fitter, faster, stronger and more interested.
-
Could we be any softer through the middle?

Dodgy dodgy tackle from coleman

Extremely poor. Krul probably should have saved that as well.

A fitting ending. I'm mostly just sad that it's over. A little sentimentality after 5 seasons was welcome as far as I'm concerned. Err, spoilers and all that.. It was the first time we see Walt openly admit his biggest shortcoming and own up to the lie he had been feeding all (including himself) for so long.

95% certainty that humans are the "dominant cause" of climate change
OTF replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
They need to do some research into how to stop it. Won't happen with the current level of consumerism driven by capitalism. Lower emission manufacturing etc exclusively equals higher costs and therefore won't be embraced in the foreseeable future. There will seemingly always be somewhere who won't care about emissions willing to take on the work for lower costs. -
5 games in and your results have been topsy-turvy. Have the performances matched the results for your wins, draws and losses, or have you been lucky or unlucky so far? We've got what we deserved in most cases. We were abysmal against Man City and in the second half against Hull. Who has been your key performers so far? It has differed from game to game. Ben Arfa was a clear stand out against Aston Villa, but he was poor against Hull. Loic Remy has had a very positive impact. What are your expectations for the season? Mid table finish, more embarrassment from the owner. With that in mind, is Alan Pardew good enough to fulfill these hopes? You asked about expectations above, not hopes. Operating within the realms of the expectations set by the club Pardew is about as good as we can hope for. If we're talking hopes then no we should have someone more tactically astute. Who will be the big threat to Everton next Monday? Remy, Ben Arfa if they're on their game. Cabaye is due a good performance. On to Everton... Have you seen much of our season? How do you think we have done so far? I haven't unfortunately. What do you make of Roberto Martinez as a manager? Do you think he will do well at Everton? I'd expect that it would bring about some massive changes compared to Moyes. More passing for a start, and setup with actual strikers. If you could take one player from Everton, who would it be and why? Baines, he is clearly the best player at the club, the dream fullback really. Which Everton player do you think will trouble you most? Baines could easily exploit our weak defending out wide. Miralles will be key. Who is Everton's worst player or weak link, in your opinion? On the whole it's a good squad. If I had to say anything I'd say lack of options up top is still an issue. Where do you think us Toffees will finish this season? Just outside the top 6. Predictions? 1-1
