First of all you can never say never to dark forces getting involved. Its pretty common for SKy to cut an interview short at 5 to and 25 past the hour to get the ad dollars in. As for the attack itself, it allegedly was from a barrel bomb delivered by helicopter. If so and given that the site was encircled Bt Russian and Syrian troops, I think it would be highly unlikely that allied special ops could get a helicopter in. I think you also have to consider Assad’s track record at using chemical weapons on his own people, verified by the UN many times. Given that Trump has just stated he wanted to pull America out, I think it’s more likely that Assad felt he was free again to do what he wanted and get the war wrapped up. Never day never though

Listening to the French, UK and USA speaking at the UN this afternoon, it seems pretty likely military action is imminent. Given theres no government MP’s on the media today I would guess it’s coming tonight. Terrorfying to think that one stray missile could set the hot birds off.

The conservatives have had to make tough choices due to the utter financial disaster inherited from Labour whether that be the crash, the knackered benefit system, the lack of action on the pension crisis or the disastrous PFI spend. Perhaps next time, for a change, you might let the inherit a booming economy?

Your usual standards. I said that the word poverty was bandied around a bit too much for my liking because when I think of “poverty”, I think of the poor fuckers in countries a lot poorer than ours. And this was on the backdrop of being told I was below the poverty line. As for Brexit, from day one I’ve been quite clear that ending free movement isn’t an issue for me. That said I think it’s very sensible to set our own immigration policy like New Zealand, Australia, USA and most other countries in the world.

I didn’t assume anything, your words yesterday and today. I am sure you were just after an internet argument etc but sometimes when voting you either have to abstain or pick the least shit option. I consider myself fairly centrist and at the moment the Conservative party is a lot closer to centre than Labour.

First of all we could (and regularly do ) argue all night about the mess inherited in 2010 and the measures that have been taken since. Secondly, people vote for parties for all sorts of reasons which doesn’t mean they agree with every action that party then takes. That would be as silly as me saying every Labour voter in 97 had the “effect” of granting power to a man that would take us into an illegal war, kill hundreds of thousands of innocents in the UK’s name leading to the terror atrocities of London, Manchester etc.

Aye, on the one hand I wonder what comes next if the world turns a blind eye to chemical weapons, ie does it give a green light for all the horrible cunts to start using. On the other, military action will at worst escalate things and at best have little effect. With Russia they way it is, the UN is toothless. I do wonder with China improving whether there’s a case for Russia being expelled but I don’t know enough about if that could work.
