His record isn't great but it's hardly shocking. Since Howe took over, we've played 92 away games, won 37, drew 20 and lost 35. However, our first away game was against Arsenal on Nov 27th) and Howe had COVID in the Brentford game prior to that on 20th, so not sure if he took charge of that game or not. Plus there was his recent illness and fairly sure the we were away for the last game which Tindall took charge of and we lost that. Some of those games we absolutely shouldn't have lost but on the flip side, some away wins (Arsenal in the Carabao Cup for instance) were tactical masterclasses. I suspect it's an attitude problem of some of our players, believing they just need to turn up and the win is a given, today being one of those days. That's not down to Eddie on the day but it's something you'd expect him to address after the fact.

I wouldn't say it makes more sense to assume, similarly I'm not advocating that we assume he'll be shit. I assumed Elanga would hit the ground running for us and that hasn't worked out so now I'm not assuming anything with Wissa. Naturally I hope he'll immediately slot in and have a positive impact but given his age and the fact he's still yet to have a single training session with the rest of the squad, I don't think we'll see the best of him until at least January. That's also assuming he gives AFCON a miss.

Why do people think Wissa will be our season saviour? We’ve yet to see him play for us but apparently we’re losing games because he’s not there. Elanga hasn’t carried over his form from last season, who’s to say Wissa won’t be the same? We ARE missing Hall and Livramento though.

I think this one stings so much because the majority of us thought we’d batter them but instead we go out there half assed and put in one of the worst performances in recent history. strawbs’ other half is probably mightily relieved though.
