Is any one else filled with complete dread. This close season has been awful. I liked the signing of Parker. I think Emre to me is an unknown quantity he is good in Italy but the game is so different. We have let go Ambrose who scored some goals at the end of the season and was a good squad player who could improve. We are looking to sign a fat useless git a lazy git and a workhorse. We have also lost our best attacking optin and someone I wasnt a fan of. Everyone around us seems to have strengthened where we have weakened. I have no optimism about this season. I think we are going to fail horribly and so does Given which is why he hasn't signed a new contract. We have a tactically inept manager the like of which we havent seen since Dogleash and Gullet and at least they had pedigree. This ones a complete mongrel. If we finish higher than we did this season and if we win any of our 1st six games I will come on here and eat humble pie. But I think it's sarnies for me.

It doesn't matter when it starts none of our targets fill me with any hope whatsoever.

Can't say I agree with that. He has a lot of improving to do to be considered second rate.

Got to disgree there. Little as I care for Souness, he's a genius compared to Willie McFaul. Or Richard Dinnis. 3223[/snapback] I have to disagree with you there. Willie Mcfaul was manager when we were a selling club and only there to let McKeag sit on the FA. As much as he wasn't a great manager he wasn't a complete incompetent like Souness is.

Do people still back Souness. Have I missed something. Is there something I am not seeing which makes people think he can improve things. I just see posts on the other boards where people are saying give him time give him time. GIve him time for what?? He has no history of turning a struggling club into a top flight club. In fact his only history near to that is the exact opposite. He doesnt learn from his mistakes either. He has continually not got on with the stars in his team from Liverpool and Rangers through Blackburn to us. He hates people with more ability than he had. In fact he was a bully on the pitch he is a bully off it. When we fold up and die this season (I have no hope left we will do well) I hope all those who gave this utter waste of space their backing will hang their heads in shame at the contribution they have made to our downfall.
