Will be watching this tonight. Last Life in the Universe (2003) Ruang rak noi nid mahasan (original title) 112 min - Comedy | Drama | Romance - 8 August 2003 (Thailand) 7.6 Your rating: -/10 Ratings: 7.6/10 from 6,651 users Metascore: 73/100 Reviews: 42 user | 73 critic | 15 from Metacritic.com A suicidal, obsessive-compulsive Japanese librarian is forced to hide out with a pot-smoking Thai woman at her shabby beachside home. -
Said earlier I watched the first ep last night and will deffo be watching the rest as i thought it was excellent. The politics of it just irked me a tad, even in the first 60 minutes. Further investigation has confirmed my thoughts on where it's coming from, but that's no reason I won't enjoy it as much as I did 24...for a while. I think they start it off very solid as you say, but it has some real bends coming. Stick with it. Not a massive spoiler but the moment he gets a prayer mat out in his garage and prays to islam for me was one of the iconic moments of TV in 2011.

Have you watched Homeland? If not don't have a moments doubt about it. It's very good. There are some real jaw dropping moments and the chain of narrative is displaced many a time by plot splits that catch you off guard. Also there is something else going on with it in the sense that there is an ultimate good at play within the character of the ex-marine with flashback structure used sparingly and well. Idealism being beyond the scope of mere nationalism and nations is also a very controversial theme at play for the connesieur. The outsider who has been to the 'other village' comes back changed. There is that too, a mythos of who we are and who we perceive we can be.

It really is shit. Was looking forward to it as well. FF'd a lot of it. There's one close up where a wolf looks like a jim henson puppet that did it for me. -
Makes sense of my early doors comments to Mrs P like, "Typical they've given this Jew the pivotal thinking man role".

Canny listen that Really surprised at how high some of them rate him like Vialli and Casaraghi.

what is this like ? It's really good. It's like being in the mind of Johan Cruyff. Tells it like it is and also a great insight into his relationships with clubs and players as manager and some nice insights into the national side. Solid football book. Pards should read it.

To compete in the PL you have to have periods of carrying some kind of debt.

It's excellent. I've got through the whole first series and it doesn't dissapoint. It's interesting as well in the sense that the viewers expectations are flipped more than once. One of the best series to come out of the Showtime stable. Stick with it. Right up your street. is it in Germany, or is it repeated ????? Don't know what made me watch it, we were just looking around and saw the intro and stuck with it, and as you say Parky, it was very good. I tease them out of the ether.

24 is comicbook compared to Homeland.

It was so low budget it was laughable the Irishman was in it. Shite. -
I miss stuff like Horizon over here. Any idea the best place to watch it?

24 is shite compared to this. Not that I've watched a single ep of 24. I don't like that actor. http://www.sho.com/site/homeland/home.sho

Football shirts are still the most profitable piece of merchandise for clubs as 13.7 million were sold throughout Europe." -

Selling Carroll was basically a seasons good run in the CL money. It's how Spurs stayed in contact with the breakaway group: Berabtov and Carrick. Or like this season where they've made a massive profit on player trading, something like £25 million. I've got absolutely no issues with player trading if the momentum is forward. -

That's just tv money it has a knock on effect on the brand and subsidiary sales (sponsorhip, shirt sales and so on...) -

To cut through all the shit we are in a good place compared to our real competitors for 2nd tier Euro competition right now (Liv, Everton, Villa). Think Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea are the one's THAT REALLY NEED CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THIS SEASON. We don't. For me Fat Ashley has fucked up core supporter relationships which is hitting the bottom line (Chez and Stevie and Nicos agree on this). The next set of figures and the summer window will be the tell on where we are going. Think we will lose Tiote, but if the rest are kept together and the mythical 2/3 are added I'm positive. -

They sold a lot of flats. HIghbury flats. Chelsea tried to do the same but iirc the players get to use most of the flats. -

That's being looked at. Just saying well the Etihad sponsorship is xx million and adding it casually to turnover won't wash. I hope.
