But as I said about Robert, even at a knockdown price only 3 clubs were interested, now surely if Robert was as good as some seem to think he was in his last few seasons here then wouldn't several clubs have been in for him? especially for free... I half agree with what you're saying, The manager made it obvious he wanted rid and they wouldn't feature in his plans this season so Shephard had to sell them for whatever he could... However even though it was made clear Robert was available at a knockdown price he still only managed to attract serious interest from Pompey, Bolton and Troyes - perhaps this represents his true worth from a non Newcastle point of view.

Moore ? 20266[/snapback] Faye's a poor footballer and if rumours are to be believed we tried to push him on Fulham as part of the Boa Morte deal, I can still see the logic in us signing him though when we did, Butt had a long term injury which left us with a pairing of either Dyer, Bowyer or Jenas - any combination would be week as piss. Babayaro only looks a shadow of the player he was at Chelsea and needs replacing. As for Moore, I think if we had the money to buy a better defender we would of, I'd still rather have Moore and £2 million rather than O'Brien.

I know Souness didn't sell Woodgate but the money we got from him should be taken into consideration, after all if we didn't sell him then I doubt the purchase of Boumsong would have took place.

If we plan on playing 4-5-1 then I can't see him being any use to us, Liverpool have been using this formation but play him on the right and he's been awful.
