I'm not a pretentious Gay. Silly tithead! I've got two, would you like one? we talking about mac's or pretentious gays? tbh I wouldn't think twice about having a Mac and a pc if I could afford it. I think they have each cornered a different niche in the same market. I know they're essentially the same, but the differences are enough for me to at least consider it.. god I'm a fucking idiot... the one computer I do have doesn't work and here I am talking about trying to run two at once.... Gemmill 44422
I've got both btw. Both good for different things. Although I think if I could afford one of the top of the range macs, I wouldn't bother with a PC.
The Fish 10750
goto http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm you need #278 right click Save As, once it's downloaded double click it might give you some message about Merge to Registry or something Click OK or Yes reboot afterwards and try system restore again but now at least I've got the start menu back and most of the programs are working, still won't let me system restore and it doesn't recognise an audio device. themags 0
this works with most Dells Press and hold Control Key+F11 during boot up to go through the restore wizard thing
The Fish 10750
this works with most Dells Press and hold Control Key+F11 during boot up to go through the restore wizard thing sure, but if this doesn't work I'm doing three things. 1) holding you personally responsible for the bloodbath that will undoubtedly follow and 2) letting Wacky and Smo do whatever they like to the people who own/run Dell and finally 3) buying a Mac with the money I demand from this shite- hawking company. Gemmill 44422
I'm not racist, but.......... There's nothing more annoying than getting a customer service representative in a call centre in India (or anywhere else for that matter) that doesn't speak sufficient English to provide customer service. Wholly fucking unacceptable.
themags 0
i just thought, Fish you are aware that this restore will actually format the hard disk and all data on it would be lost i maybe should have mentioned this earlier
ewerk 30295
Technical help call centres based anywhere are usually shite in my experience. Anyone with the intelligence to fix the problem is usually in a better job, the idiots in the call centres are reading from a help database that can probably be found online somewhere. Wholly fucking unacceptable. I've many a time asked to speak to an assistant in an English call centre and when I'm challenged in that self righteous "How fucking dare you" tone I reply that quite frankly I cannot understand half of what the guy/girl is saying and it's my fucking phonebill
