Genuine talent is required to get a job writing for Heat though.

In a truly evil and perverse way maybe.

I bet those writers work hard too, earning their keep. :) :)

Sorry but genuine talent (being better than most at something) is really not needed for a pop career

And I'd argue again that, for a pop career, genuine talent is necessary. For a one-album flash in the pan, not necessarily.

Like Fumaca in a way. Hang on a minute....

You'd given up with anything remotely like an argument and made it completely personal so why not?

Besides I'd have thought being compared to Posh would make you happy deep, deep inside. :P

More insults...? Yet having a go at me about attacks? :) :)

It's clear you have a very strange view of the entertainment world. Footballers are skilled in ways that many people would find meaningless, yet you continually fail to recognise the talent required to succeed in other industries. Football is only entertainment too at the end of the day and you really ought to be able to fathom that.
Again football requires natural talent, pop does not (although it may help).

Clearly unable to grasp the concept tbh. Talent is required for success in any competitive field. Your narrow parameters are the downfall of your argument.

Sorry but genuine talent (being better than most at something) is really not needed for a pop career (although it may help), but someone that can't play football is NOT going to be a successful footballer, big old difference.

No matter how many times you say it, it does not make the above any less true. :P

Yes it is. :P

Of course if someone can't play football then they can't be a successful footballer. That stands to reason. :P But they don't have to be able to run the fastest, or be the strongest or kick the ball the furthest. They need to be able to play the game.

Being a pop star is the same. You don't need to be able to sing or dance the BEST necessarily, but without star quality (the ability to create interest/sell records/newspapers/magazines) you are nothing.

You failed to explain why rich kids with the backing of their millionaire parents don't succeed. Besides, you need to remember that we are discussing Posh Spice who was part of one of the most successful pop acts of all time. The fact that we aren't necessarily fans of hers is totally irrelevant to the argument.

Oh no it's not. :P

Yet someone with no real "pop" talent can be a pop star (not necessarily a musician, but then that is something else that is not needed).

But they don't have to be able to run the fastest, or be the strongest or kick the ball the furthest. They need to be able to play the game.

But they do have to be better than the rest in some way/ways, again unlike pop stars, who may be better, but don't necessarily need to be.

See you actually agree with me. :P

But there's no need for "star quality" just good timing and good PR/marketing.

Just saying "no it's not" is no argument mate... :)
