Let Danny B back I was looking forward to hic onstructive criticism of my Coloccini song.

Spurs predicament is hilarious, I know it's early days but I've seen nothing in Euro 2008 or the league to suggest Modric is going to be top top class, they've sold 2 strikers and are left with Bent, Berbatov can't be arsed to play, and some unproven Mexican. My heart bleeds and long may it continue :).

all these supposed clubs that are/were better run than we are/were just makes me laugh my head off

To be fair you have Ashley to thank for the fact that we are currently run well.

Llambias and Mort aswell, obviously.

Danny was lurking before I noticed. Gone a bit reticent though. Sums up what a wanker the kid is if he only shows up for 'banter' when his side are doing well.

That's almost an admission that Ashley is doing a good job :)

In terms of running a business he has long since surpassed them.

In footballing terms it is yet to be seen however...

Point is, what is being run well ?

Do you think that qualifying for europe more than any team bar 4 over a decade is a sign of a badly run club or a well run club ?

its the football that counts.

As the old lot took over a business heading for the old 3rd division, I would suggest they made a good job of running the business.

Those 30,000 "customers" who came back to support the club are the proof.

Would be if we weren't saved by Ashley. You might not have a club to support.

We were supposed of been on the verge of doing a Leeds and to be honest I can't imagine Shepherd would have sacked Allardyce in January so we were probably going to.

We were in massive amounts of debt, spent sponsorships up front etc etc.

It wasn't a steady ship.

Berbatov is looking like he is on his way like and I think Levy is making a hash of it.

I'm not sure who you could get in to play up with Bent.

There is talk of Arshavin coming in and playing behind him and also talk of Heskey - however I think the Heskey rumor is a tabloid piss take.

I can't see you getting anything against Chelsea and Aston Villa will be a challenge.

Anyway what you were saying about Newcastle having a bad start :P

No he's not, business is all about the numbers and NOTHING else. Season ticket sales are down and therefore on absolutely any assessment of the business, its doing worse on its number one metric.

There are of course reasons for this but lets not confuse paying debts off with business success, got fuck all to do with each other.

We should have set a deadline for Utd to shell out.

We cant give him the heave-ho until we have a replacement but the russians are fucking us over, its a total shambles.

Thanks for the update I have been at reading festival all weekend so I have been out of the loop.
