For stuff I like to drink for the taste. :-

Corona/Desperado

Cobra

Leffe

Heineken

Guiness

For Pro Evo with the lads/Pre night out carry on

Carlsberg Export

Carling

Fosters

Would rather drink the piss of a jock tramp who has just drunk 4 bottles of buckfast.

Heineken isn't a bad lager on draught tbf. Definitely a cut above the others highlighted.

It's funny you say that, because I've drunk it in Amsterdam and it's alright, but here oh dear..it's mad, and it's exactly the same with Stella, had some in Brussells really nice, here I can't get away with it.

The Heineken you get here now (in bottles anyway, not that many places I would drink draught lager) is the same as the stuff you get in Holland. It didn't used to be though. For some reason we got a shitty 4% pale imitation of the real thing. It's a canny lager imo.

I know a couple of places that do the full fat version on draught and it's ticketyboo tbf. You're quite right to make the distinction though as the UK domestic market version of the stuff is a waste of time.

I think it's all the 5% stuff over here now. But on draught over here, as with everything else on draught, the quality is extremely variable.

Nasty stuff.

Ale doesn't transfer well to bottles at all. Full of chemicals like. Just doesn't taste right. :(

Everybody suffers from the same syndrome I'm afraid.

One year at Uni does wonders for the ego.

Yet graduating leaves you suckling at the tit of cockney wummery obviously. :(

Or an alternative view -

Not banning everyone in sight and thinking about the situation.

Anyway, such topics are not for you to discuss :(

Never ever buy beer in Sydney. I was there this past weekend and you only get one decent (ie Victorian) beer on tap with the rest being Tooheys or Hahn shit. Then they give it to you in a schooner glass, 425mL, but charge you the same as a pint. Shit beer and overpriced. While in Melbourne you might only get a pot (285mL) at least it's a decent beer at a fairer price!

I was trying to make a "Pots And Schooners"/"Sons And Daughters" Aussie soap-related pun, but it didn't happen.

Just so you know.

Give it up now, Martin ;)

I quite got into Cascade when I was over there but I don't know whether that makes me cool or just a tasteless lass.
