In our current situation with CM, Johnson should be part of a take it or leave it deal for Given. That way we have more of a hope of flogging Geremi, Barton or Butt in the summer

Your a strange kid like, one minute your talking sense and the next its as if you've just wiped your arse on the keyboard!

Butt and geremi yes in the summer but why the fuck would you sell Barton. B)

You know they can treat Bi-polar in this day in age!

Sunderland are set to sign Manchester City's Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim.

The 26-year-old central-back has been involved in just nine Premier League games this season, and is keen for more regular first-team football.

Ben Haim joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Bolton in June 2007 before moving to City in July 2008.

"I've worked with him previously and I know what I'm getting," said Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia, referring to their time together at Bolton.

Sbragia, who did not disclose any details of the fee involved or Ben Haim's contract, worked as Bolton's first-team coach between 2005 and 2007, before joining Sunderland's coaching staff.

Ben Haim has been a regular for his country, including two matches against England during qualifying for Euro 2008.
