They've started selling season tickets next season with a disregard for the new (Premier League) rule to have away fans pitch side :D

The Fish

They've released a new advert where the heights of 1997 are warmly referenced and are accompanied by the line "Through thick and thin, Wearside by side".

Wearside by side. Till half time.

To be fair, they're still side by side, it's just they're packed on the bus heading back to Hendon.

Apparently for the clip where everything looked like 1997 they had to go all the way to Sunderland.

If he had been released, do you think they would have picked him back up again?

I'm guessing that the news about that Brazilian goalkeeper, Bruno, getting back into football after arranging for the murder of his girlfriend has been discussed somewhere on here and that I've missed it, but I thought that was pretty incredible also. Something like that happening over here would be totally inconceivable.

I've not seen it. I think it's because everyone on here has become distrustful of MSM at your urging and as such are uncomfortable sharing any news items that aren't 1st hand accounts or funny.

They don't get the sentence includes that he had every chance to plead guilty in the run up to the court date and didn't bother which in the eyes of the court meant the victim, a minor in the eyes of the law, was subjected to abuse by the scumberland fans something  which could have easily been avoided by saying so at the time.  < This is paraphrasing the sentencing judge from the trial.

They've also forget that some of their current squad whether suited and booted to join him in court to tell everyone what a stand up guy their mate was and that their club was perfectly fine for them to do this knowing he was guilty.

Finally.

Here's the story though - it's actually really grim, and unbelievable that the guy is out of prison on a technicality.

Good grief.

The tone was a bit unsettling given the topic mind.

That's it like, all the 'she knew what she was doing' stuff, which is debatable at best, in terms of it excusing his behaviour, totally ignores the fact that the most of the damage has been done by the abuse etc. from fans which, as you point out, was caused by his not admitting what he'd done and then he's added to that with the appeal. I suppose the thick fucking cunts see a kindred spirit in Johnson.

Yes, sorry - It's not the main story on it obviously, it's just the football writers having a go at it. The main article was less frivolous.
