XP Genuine advantage update download

I'm running a less than legitimate version of XP Pro, and following recent advice I had turned off the auto update feature, but I've noticed to day I have the icon sitting in my systray telling me that I have an update ready to install.

I'm 99% sure that its the recent Genuine advantage nag download, from what I can see the only options I have is "install" or "custom install" I don't appear to have an option to ignor or cancel, and I fear if I reboot it might install anyway.

Any advice ???

Think you should be able to go to the Windows Update site. Search for all updates, but before clicking Express or Custom, paste the following into the address bar:

javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all')

and press enter. Basically, it turns off the trigger for the key check.

OK, ta anyway, it seems the bloody thing is downloaded anyway, its asking me to install, and it seems there isn't an option to cancel.
