His style of play seems not only to be far too intelligent for most of his team mates but unfortunately for most of the fans as well. He wasnt that good! looked out of shape to me.

Pretty obvious that he wanted to shore up the defence and not lose the game. Didnt want another Blackburn on our hands. Good tactical decision in the end imo. -

Disclaimer: I meant people on here. the couple of thousand that went down there on a work night have my utmost respect. Did they boo when Martins was taken off? I can sort of understand them if they did and I am far from having a go at them, but I think the short fuse of people (in this thread as well) is really annoying. I think we were booing the decision to take him off. -

I thought Nicky Butt was okay today. Got stuck in and short passing was good. Geremis set pieces were abysmal. I would have been absolutely ashamed of those corners. Barton battled back well but his passing is horrific. Viduka looked unfit to me. Needs more games. I would have put Carroll on for him later in the game for some fresh legs. And Smith had by far his best game for us today. ..

I didnt think we did that bad. The 1st half was tight. Only a blunder by Faye (not sure why Taylor was getting stick earlier in this thread instead of Faye today) was the major difference. Second half was better and we deserved a goal. A good battling performance. Thats what we need right now. As Happy Face said earlier the crowd are just as bad as the team when it comes to capitulating. -

Coach Carter. Surpsingly very good. I was just expecting the normal American sports drama but it was much more than that. -

Run Fatboy Run. Meh, 6/10. Utterly forgettable. I like David Schwimmer. I always found the episodes of Friends he directed quality. Thought he would do a tad better. -

I didn't think it was remotely frightening either but then again I can't think of another vampire film that is. Quite enjoyed it though and I'm keen to see Day Watch. wouldn't bother mate i second that. -

What like? Just reading their website ...I have played with a few of their players. -
Yep, and got Bellamy sent off by winding him up. prick. Yes because Bellamy just had to kick him didn't he? It was probably a premeditated deliberate act on behalf Materazzi/Inter. Quite clever to get one up but he is still a prick of huge magnitude.

Newcastle United 95/96 Season Review 'So Close'
Holden McGroin replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Nah, I dont think so. Friedel was crap at Liverpool for years. Didnt come good over here until his move to Blackburn, Looking back at the highlights though you can see that the majority of the goals in that season were Pavs fault. However, the highlights didnt show the world class saves before the howlers.
