Many favour Alan Shearer, who failed to save the Magpies from relegation in a short-team stint at the end of last season, and he would be appointed by several of the competing consortia. To be honest at the moment what player in there right mind wants to come here at the moment, like you have said he would have been offered pennys and it just shows the chance of a take over looks less likely, atleast county are trying to build there club not take it apart brick by brick.

The announcent on monday is obviously going to be that Ashley is taking the club of the market if he was going to sell it would be done by now, if its any other news then id be very very surprised.

How many more bidders are going to come out of the woodwork just as one bid is looking more likely you then here of another interested party as ive said this is all rubbish so Ashley can keep fans of his back while he makes a profit of any player he can then take the club of the market as soon as transfer period is up, I also think he is using all this to become well known even if it is making the club a complete laughing stock.
