I need to find a disused or derelict building for a photoshoot

Haha no she's from Lemington. And sush about our little deal ok?! And hurry up with that paypal transfer! There's a model works in the Asian shop keepers beside the middle club, but she's got nee tits at all, and she's a mug. Is that her? Haha no -
Got back from the gym and it's certainly a cut above Dunston Pool that's for sure!!!
-
Sounds decent like... I've never used a plunge pool before but am starting to get an obsession about trying one lol. I came close last weekend as went to Jesmond Pool, went in the sauna, forgot to use the shower and jumped straight in the cold pool. A few people almost stopped swimming mid stroke and gave me mucky looks as if I'd just sharted in the water!
-
Good old Dunston. Is that the newly (whey, fairly new) opened one? yeah it's all new but horrid, nothing works and it's generally full of wankers.
-
Haha cheers mate, well the missus won it be she rang them up and pretended to be from the company who gave out the prize and said that I was the winner, they rang me just after and so it's all in my name now. Although there was a slightly awkward moment when they asked which event i'd won it at etc... I just mumbled something about it being through work and it was "the expo" which seemed to just about work. Am looking forward to trying it out... is it just the usual sauna and steam room, or any extra's like a plunge pool etc? I'm not bothered if not as liek I said its always going to be a cut above Dunston Pool
-
Tbh I dont really do any of the gym stuff, just swim and steam/sauna. Its more a way of relaxing and unwinding after the working week, whilst doing some gentle exercise in the pool
-
Cheers lads, sounds like it'll be a cut above Dunston Pool anyway where I usually frequent... except for last week when the steam room was closed because someone had taken a dump on the floor (alledgedly)

How much did fat Ash pay for Newcastle United?
ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in Newcastle Forum
plus a 50m mortgage and 36m owed in player installments. So the total cost was 290m (ish). With a running costs loss of 30m. Flipping heck, ok well that does put a bit of a different slant on it, now I can't decide if we are overpriced and you were too, or in fact the valuation of £150m isn't that ridiculous after all??? -
Wife scored a free months membership so I've stolen it off her and plan on going for my usual Friday swim, steam and sauna... Anyone been before and is it one of those posh places with excellent facilities and free towels etc?

Hmm so I guess it depends on how our sale is structured then... now if it's £150 minus the debt i.e. £100m then that doesn't seem that unreasonable... you cost about double that but obviously have an excellent stadium and a good revenue stream. On the other hand if we are actually asking £150m + the debt then it makes it roughly the same as you were sold for except we need a new stadium so the real cost is way in excess of what Ashley paid for you. I'd bet on it being the latter knowing our luck and if it is then we have absolutely no chance of being sold any time in the near or distant future and it would explain why clubs are being bought left, right and centre yet we're still stuck with Bill Kenshite! If it's 150m plus the debt its a little bit more than Ashley had to pay. If that is the price you'll never get sold, like ever. You haven't got the infrastructure that we have and it would take 5 or 6 years to sort a new stadium etc...increase the fanbase to 50,000 regulars etc... Basically if that is the price the owners want to hang to it and are taking the piss. I know Everton are a much much bigger club than Leicester but they get crowds 7-8000 less than you, have a new stadium, one club city and it went for £30m I think. Exactly mate... I just dont see how anyone would want to buy us for that. I think the fact we are a club playing in the Premier league makes us a more valuable prosect than someone like Leicester, but on the other side we loose money every year and our stadium needs to be replaced at a cost of probabloy between £100m and £200m... we aren't an attractive proposition at that price. I think more so than us when you look at the age of the players, you need a whole new squad as well which would cost £200m+ to compete. Lots of people approaching 30 or over 30 in the Everton squad. So if it is £150m plus the debt, that's £230m(?) + at least £200m for a new stadium, plus £200m+ on the playing side to make Everton a club even on Tottenham's level, financially and sustainability wise. That's the best part of £700m, I think Everton's best hope is someone like the arabs rather than some yank or local businessman. I think Ashley would sell us for £200m now, and you wouldn't need to buy a stadium, all you'd need to do is spend £100m on the team and we could have a real go at competing. If it's £150m + debt then that's approx £200m... new stadium £200m. Playing side we have a fair few players who need to be replaced but we do have Barkley, Rodwell, Coleman, Drenthe (if we kept him), Vellios, Gueye all 23 or under, Baines 27, Heitinga 28, Jags 29, Tim Howard 32 (still pretty young for a keeper), so we dont need a complete overhaul... maybe £20m a season over the next 3 years would do providing we bought good young players rather than chasing the Robinho's etc of this world. So about £500m in total... which lets face it is still a HUGE outlay! So should it be a straight fight between £300m for you or £500m+ for us then yeah it'd be very surprising if someone picked us as being the better investment. I know what you're saying about rich arabs being the better option... tbh they would be for every club... I think the alledged interest in us takes in to account the fact we need a new stadium and investment in the area, so there may be a profit to be made from that somehow. I'd be happy if someone came in and turned us in to a good business making a profit and becoming self sustainable so if it is this option available and they are stupid enough to pay Kenshite what he wants then I'll not complain.... but i'm not getting my hopes up I think your ticket prices don't help matters. I'm sure there was some survey done about five years ago that said Everton fans were by far the poorest in the league with an average annual income of £13000 pa I think wors was about £16000, Liverpool's was higher than Everton's not sure how that works like, but the point is your ticket prices are very cheap even for the expensive tickets and that's perhaps another reason why it's non profitable. I think cheap tickets are a good thing, but you need to get enough people through the door to make it work... Goodison just isn't up to the job and something needs to be done... I'd like to see the old lady re-developed much the way the Sports Direct Arena has been but a new stadium would do too providing it was going to be a top notch one in the city and not a cow shed a few miles outside (see Kirkby). Liverpool's was higher due to the Norwegian economy being quite strong lol -

Question about making a loss in tax year for self employed
ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Yeah that would be good mate thanks -
The person in charge of selling Everton has come out and said the asking price is £150m Now that seems extremely excessive considering we are making a loss every year and have something in the region of £50m debt. I'm not sure if the £150m is including the debt... i.e. Asking price £200m minus £50m debt = £150m, or not including i.e. £150m minus debt = £100m So how much did the Toon go for and what were your books like at the time? Were you making a loss too and also in debt? I think i remember a figure of £100m but can't be sure. I honestly can't get my head around anyone asking £150m for my club. We need a new stadium and significant investment in the playing staff... £150m? Who the fuck's going to pay that?! Would be good to compare it to your takeover so i can put some context on it

Question about making a loss in tax year for self employed
ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Yeah that's what I was hoping tbh... I dont plan on paying any tax unless I have too, so spending what i earn on new equipment and carrying losses over is the only way I'll be able to grow as a business - equipment is very expensive and I dont earn enough in the day job to fund it forever. -

ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Cheers for the info mate... tbh I'm so far away from making a profit that I haven't bothered counting mileage, internet etc but will do once I'm getting a bit more work and money in... or rather charging more for my services as quite busy at the mo but i'm not charging a lot so can build up experience and rep. I really couldn't afford an accountant at the moment... its something I'd consider in the future though... I just need to find one who is willing to do it in exchange for a family photoshoot or something lol. It sounds like I can just keep rolling it over though from what you said? that is good as I will still keep buying equipment with any money I make so will be a while yet before I will be turning over a profit and it's good to know that I wont be paying tax as well on top of this until I'm making a clear profit -

haha fucked if I know mate... all very new to me! I'd imagine it'd just be a one off operational cost but I might be wrong. Tbh I bought it for £320 and they seem to be going for more than that on ebay at the mo so technically its appreciated if that's the correct word lol -

Just a quick update to say I've found the perfect spot for my shoot... Whitehouse Enterprise Centre just off Scotswood Road. Had a quick snoop around at the weekend (not exactly with permission if you know what I mean) and its perfect, so contacted the council and they have agreed in principle to let me use it. Just got to organise a date and time now and hopefully should be able to do a really cool shoot -
Question about making a loss in tax year for self employed
ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Thanks mate that's very helpful... Yeah all purchases are camera equipment and the like so it's all very much related to any money that I have made. I've never filled in a tax return before but I'm guessing there's something on there where I note all this down, or do I need a seperate form? I work full time so pay tax through my employer, however I understand the self employed side of things is seperate so doesn't impact on the money made through my photography? -
Just a quick question due to my recently registering as self employed for my photography business. Now due to the fact I've spent about £2k on equipment over the last year or so I was wondering how this impacts on me paying tax. Say I earned (I haven't this is just to make the figures easy) £1,000 I should be due to pay tax of £20% i.e. £200. However the cost of setting up the business far outweighs this, so it could be argued that in fact I've actually made a loss of £1000 for example. Does this mean I can get out of paying the £200 example tax? And if so can I then carry the remaining £1000 "Loss" over to the next tax year and so on and so forth? If all this is possible how would I show that I have spent the money on equipment? I can produce bank statements, ebay / amazon / electronic shop statements... however as most was bought on line I'm lacking in receipts... would I need to contact the sellers and get invoices? Some was bought 2nd hand so this isn't always going to be possible.

Newcastle United vs Everton match thread
ajax_andy replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
Same old story for us... play ok, should get something out of the game but dont... We need a new striker as Saha is rubbish. If he got his head up occasionally and played a team mate in it would help, but all he does is just shoot almost every time he has it. Still it's up to the rest of the team to chip in as well, as with the Toon and people like Ryan Taylor. You got in front and held on, might not have been pretty but its a win non the less and its those types of games that teams in the top 5 or 6 places need to win to stay up there... winning when playing badly isn't a bad habit to have.
