She may have raised awareness for Cervical cancer but purely by association, not in the same way that Sir Bobby or even Bob Monkhouse did by ensuring their profile brought Cancer to public attention or raised funds for charity. Having said that, I guess Goody didn't have much time ahead of her, but still enough time to get her own PR machine rolling.

And the world kept turning......

no doubt he'll be back for the Stoke game as expected.

Excellent post, I think that is spot on, however I fear we will get much less for the "star" players.
-
maybe even the clueless dullard of an owner has realised this too finally.

Night dudes, I'm off to bed for an anger-wank. -
NEWCASTLE face financial meltdown if they drop into the Championship — because they have made NO provision for relegation in top stars’ contracts. Rivals Sunderland will slash their wage bill by 40 per cent if they end the season in the bottom three. But Sport of the World has learned that top earners like Oba Martins and Damien Duff have deals that will see their £3million-a-year deals hold firm. Jose Enrique, Alan Smith and Fabricio Coloccini are also on £2.5m-a-year contracts. Those salaries would cripple the club and could lead to a firesale if the Magpies do get relegated. Michael Owen, dropped for yesterday’s clash with Arsenal and upset at the decision, will also walk away. City sources believe the club’s value will be halved to around £125m if they crash out of the Premier League. Meanwhile, owner Mike Ashley has assured staff that Joe Kinnear will be back at the club next month.

He's done it in less than 12 months too.. Mission accomplished IMO, there's no way this is just bad luck - i'm convinced there's an ulterior motive. I agree. I mean it, in all honesty, this isn't incompetence or even wilfull neglect, it has to be deliberate. Was it Sherlock Holmes who said words to the effect that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? Well, this is all I'm left with after this joke of a season. Who knows what the future holds for us. It's a bloody expensive practical joke !

That depends on the Dullard at the top, expect the likes of Owen, Martins, Bassong, Enrique and Duff to leave or to be sold, but it's the tack he takes that will define our future, in my opinion we'd need to be bullish in the transfer market and invest to get a quick promotion, but given his track record, don't hold your breath.

Fuck I feel depressed tonight, god knows why, I knew we'd lose, I think it's the Portsmouth and Stoke results that have done it for me, I've had to go to the off licence and buy some beer to drown my sorrows, it's times like this where I wish I had a proper shed, a mans shed where I could take refuge during times of depression such as this and slowly decompose.

What lesson is there to learn ? Ashley is the architect of this fuck up.

That's fantastic. I've been giggling thinking about that picture at work all day.
