Enrique deserves a nod too.

Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear: "There were turning points in the game and I don't think - again - the big decisions have gone our way, but that's the way it is going for us at the moment. "We were camped in their half for most of the game and so I have to be heartened by our character today, very much so. "As for transfers before tomorrow, I've got two players lined up who we've been speaking to and I'm confident we will get those in. "And as for outgoings, we're waiting on Shay Given and Charles N'Zogbia's situations. There's a sticking point over Given's move to Manchester City, with a lot of haggling going on, so we will have to wait and see on both of those two. I hope they go through soon, though, so I can go and spend that money."

Maybe he's failed the medical.....

has fuck all to do with him being irish, i hated Carr and O'Brien and duff is massively overpaid and lost his spark ever since his last injury at Chelsea he's leaving because nothing at the club has been dealt with in years and it's finally hit the point where it's nearly pointless turning out everyweek because his position is untenable, no matter how good a player shay or owen/martins etc are, and no matter how well the stars peform they are let down due to the lack of quality throughout the team and the ability to cope with injuries, were just likely to lose. fuck sake we can't even beat hull I agree, he has been with us for 10+ years now and has been through a lot. Why would he not be allowed to walk out on us? he has served his time and to be honest imagine yourself in his position! Week in, week out trying to stop goals with a defence that is appalling! I for one do not begrudge him a move away from us during this transfer window. I said to my mates during the Liverpool game that he did not look happy and would move during the transfer window. I dont know what you classify as a loyal player these days but i know for one that Shay and Steve have been more then loyal players to us for the past 10 years. I dont give a fuck how many transfer requests Shay has put in! He has still come out, week after week and put in and saved us plenty of points. As i have said previously, he bleeds black and white and will come back in the future as a coach. If it had been a simple case of City making a bid we couldn't refuse then fine, off he goes with my blessing but the fact Given has behaved like a spoilt brat for a second time and handed in a transfer request, he can just fuck off.

It'll be an undisclosed fee, the rumour is about £8m.
-
I honestly think he didn't want Sunderland to score.
-
I just question his ability to cross and to pass. I just think we lack anyone in attack with the ability to make a run or read a pass, had Owen or Martins been on the pitch we would have hammered them in the 2nd half.

Brilliant second half in comparison to the first, Enrique, Bassong and Jonas were superb

This is like sitting in the dentists waiting room
