SBR signed Viana, but I guess it was Souness's fault. He should have known he was gonna be the next manager and advise Bobby he (Viana) was completely unsuited to the Premiership. In fact, looking back, how didnt SBR recognise this, it seems pretty apparent that with no pace and requiring an hour on the ball to make a pass he was never going to make it in the PL. 18460 emm i think he realises that souness didnt buy Viana, he's talking about Luque being the 'new viana'. see the subtle difference there?

They're not exactly at the cutting edge of investigative journalism, although if they're making it up I'm sure they still feel fairly confident in their fabrication. 18379 not exactly sticking their neck out though are they, as it was always fairly obvious he would never come here despite all the 'reports' on sky about it.

Robert was shite, sorry but apart from free kicks he was a sack of shit. Open play and corners were woeful and never tracked back causing the left full back all kinds of problems. 18023 And he never got the best out of the finest striker of a generation. Oh no, he was too busy being castigated for his shite defensive qualities. Shearers nothintg without Robert - fact. 18301 shearer's nothing without legs - fact Robert's passing wasn't good enough and Im hoping we've got someone to get some decent balls into the box in Emre.

who cares who wins this mickey mouse competition?
-
and with the money left over..... boa morte and ashton. job done
-
yeah granted but it aint gonna make a blind bit of difference to our season really is it?
-
so we're gonna end up with only one signing then. yipee!
-
False alarm. Noone wants to play for Souness. As you were. 18138 Who's fault is that then? The fans? (Just the negative ones like). 18139 If he signs, then Souness won't be the knobhead you make him out to be. 18149 lol yeah right. surely any nobhead manager can get an average player to sign for his club if you offer him enough

you reckon we may all be pleasantly surprised

And why the hell would Real Madrid accept a Loan deal when they can have £18m there and then?! As Phil Thompson said, he may come here and enjoy it so much that he wants to stay. 17136 but didnt Owen say he only wanted to come to us on loan though?
-
does anybody still think that he might actually sign for us then? Wouldnt it make sense for Liverpool to take him on loan for 12 months and see how he does? hmm roll on next season eh
-
well unfortunately even getting owen wouldnt be enough to allow us to have a 'sucessful' season as its obvious we need 2 new decent strikers!
-
Don't hold your breath - I just feel Owen is using Newcastle to get Liverpool to move to get him. Can't blame him, of course the way we are the minute. 16889 Agreed but whatever way you look at it, Everton were flatly turned down - he's actually stated that he is willing to join NUFC... 16895 Of course Everton were flatly turned down, that would be like Shearer signing for the mackems. 16901 but didnt Owen support Everton as a boy?
-
yeah im not surprised in the slightest that no-one decent wants to sign for this shambles of a club tbh
-
I think this deserves a bump! Not that him playing his going to make any difference to the result against manure but he might get me 3 points for my dream team! hurray!
-
it would have to be another hard fought 0-0

is that anything to do with the quote he made last year about how we all tell little lies like' telling the wife i love her every morning'! or something like that! fool
-
i cant believe you beat me to that joke! damn you!

They're more than welcome to Michael Chopra if they can meet our valuation. 15034 Do they make Monster Munch in Spain? 15038 you've lost me there!

It was funny when he was whinging in the press about the stick the Swansea fans were giving Savage in a recent friendly! What does he expect with Toshack being a god in these parts! And Savage was lapping it up even smiling and gesturing to the crowd to keep it up!
-
You can't blame Shepherd for trying to save a bit of cash with the first bid, assuming the deal still goes through with an improved bid. Whatever your first bid is they'll always ask for more. 15021 course not, its the same in every business or transaction. The final selling price is usually somewhere between what was first asked for and the offered. Any excuse to have a go at Shepherd eh

But it's not Friday and I only got to watch the match last night! Given Bowyer Boumsong 14809 yeah you cant change the rules half way through! Also dont you think that having a total scores for players is going to give unfair results and an average should be used? You would expect more people to give scores for matches that are on the telly and so the only thing this table would show at the end of the season is who's played best on the telly! ye reckon?

what a swat!

i knew i should have gone for parker for my dream team
