  1. Watched Step Brothers agian over the weekend - still class.
  2. Bingo. The Septics I work with don't rate him at all.
  3. Tragic that innocents were killed but as pointed out above this had been happening for thousands of years. Humans are combatative by nature and there will always be war and incidents such as this will always happen. Interesting that some on here seem to be more outraged by the cover up attempt rather than the killings themselves. Is is the difference between accident and design?
  4. And. so. fucking. what. If they can hire out facilities and the activity is legal then I don't see a problem - same old twisted Tory sexual morality. Calm down lad - it was just an amusing story related to the thread. Mind you I'm sure there may be some health issues
  5. If he's in the woods it would be like an English version of Rambo (We'll sort of), could Vinny master the accent? I rekcon he'll be nowehere near Rothbury, his knacker mates will have driven that car up there for him. He'd have to. I think Robert Carlyle could do it he's good with accents, but he's too skinny. Jimmy Nail would be too old, who else is there? I agree re the motor, I don't think he's as dense as people are making out. Whats Robson Green doing these days? He'd have to bulk up mind.... I'd go for Sting (bulked up).

  7. How do you know this? I started my banking career managing public sector clients and in particular NHS Trusts (heavy deposits to be had) and the level of middle management they had (even at small trusts) was absurd. I was often sat in a meeting with their finance teams and they'd have more managers than you could poke a stick at and often I would have trouble understanding what they actually did. Their non medical pay rolls were often phenomenal and oustripped the medical staff. Forgive me for not accepting that as evidence that the cost of non-medical management costs outstrips medical labour costs across the NHS. Its blatantly bollocks. http://www.politicshome.com/uk/article/101...ve_targets.html "Management costs now stand at £1.85bn" Management has to spend the rest of the £120bn of the budget that isnt spent on themselves. I'd say good managers are in short supply. I said payroll not costs. The point I was making is that the level of middle management was too high and there are clear synergies to be made.
  8. The comments that have been left are top notch. "when he failed to answer bail the police were looking high and low for him"
  9. It's easy to run a profitable business when some other mug pays for all your staff's training. If they had to fund it themselves, their policies would be beyond almost everybody and it certainly wouldn't be provided en masse by Employers. Agreed. I'd still rather use them for treatment though. Wait for 6-12 months for an op on my nose or go through BUPA via work and get it done in 3 weeks (granted by the same surgeon) in a clean, comfortable environment. Easy choice. Well it was 18 weeks until last week, now it's an indefinite wait. But yes, good for you if you can afford it, the Tories will be wanting as many people as possible to follow in your footsteps and screw those who can't afford to. (That's not meant as a dig at you btw). No worries - and i feel for those who have to rely solely on the NHS I don't however have enough empathy to forgo BUPA for NHS treatment. Don't 'feel' for me, honestly. The service I and my family have personally received has been brilliant. That came out slightly wanky - apologies. As you say though individual experiences will vary wildly.

Despite being a preachy lefty, I know I'm a hypocrite at a personal level having spent my working life in two industries I generally abhor (Personal financial services and banking) but I do take a moral stance in not having signed up for the company BUPA scheme. Maybe if I did get something nasty or if I had a family I'd reconsider but it's a line I never want to cross. Fair enough - a man of principles - I however have very few and take a pragmatic approach to these things. Why wait longer for something you can get done (at arguably a better standard) in the shorter term. I also have a jaded view of the NHS due to a very bad family experience.

  13. The immigrants on benefits argument doesn't hold much water down here in London. The food service industry would collapse without their labour as would many other industries that rely on an un skilled workforce. Meanwhile cut to the dingy pubs of Bermondsey and the white british dole wallers are pissing their job seekers allowance up against the wall in the Albion.
  14. This depends on what industry you're talking in the private sector. A cull in the public sector is way overdue and should have been performed prior to any deficit reduction plan. Social services, the NHS, etc etc are so top heavy with middle/upper management it's untrue. The proportion of public sectors jobs in the total did not change significantly under Labour. There may be "cullable" jobs in all departments but having mates who've been civil servants since before Labour from what they say things haven't ballooned or anything like that. I think the "managers in the NHS" pov is generally a media driven agenda. As I and others have argued, culling any waste during a recession is doubly dangerous because it cuts demand and lessens the chances of those losing their jobs being able to find another. I want to see some evidence the NHS is overmanaged compared to: Other public healthcare systems abroad. Similar private companies - maybe BUPA for example. The NHS is without doubt one of the most efficient healthcare systems in the World. My personal experience with the NHS is that it's far from efficient. Thank Christ for BUPA.

  17. After a week of using this stuff my hayfever has pretty much vanished. Well worth £6.99. no itchy eyes etc? that's the only symptom i get drives me nuts at times, especially when playing footy Itchy eyes occur occasionally but nowhere near as bad as before taking the spray. I no longer have to fill the sink with cold water and dunk my head in it to get some relief.

  19. Why would i hold my breath? That's just stupid, i'd pass out or summat innit Catching on quick Catching on to what? You're either trying to be ironically humerous and dying on your feet or you're quite simply immensely stupid (2nd brightest in the year, eh?) I'm plumbing for the latter aye that was my point on his interview thread. Not sure what he would gain from that other than the attention he craves and to be fair he's achieved that.
  20. And the Italians are next - markets will be jumpy as fuck for the forseeable future. Run for the golden hills.
  21. Have you not read any of this cunt's posts/threads? It's no wind up - it's not that smart. I have but struggling to see how anybody could actually be that much of a cunt.
  22. Surely this has got to be a wind up. Granted I'm new but nobody would come on asking questions like this for a McDonalds interview unless said person was a complete an utter gimp.
  23. Men who stare at goats - looks good on paper but disappointing.
  24. Charity workers or chuggers as they're known down here are a constant problem. There are a different set with their buckets stalking my tube station every morning, they're there in the tube I get off at, and then again as I walk up to the office. RNLI and AID Africa this morning. I do my bit for Cancer charities and it winds me up being made to feel guilty for not putting my hand in my pocket every other day. Again a swift shoe in the nuts/chuff may resolve the situation.
