Remember when Bier Rex used to be behind the Civic? (It's some shitty student bar now). Beer heaven. They used to do that there. Went to Bruges a while back with and was well into the which resulted in falling into/onto a tabe full of food in a fairly plush restaurant - bad kwak like.......... I also love altbeer. Native to the Dusseldorf area (at least that's where I had it). Struggle to get it over here - the closest I got to it was Brooklyn lager weirdly enough. Went to Bruges (or Brugge ) mesel last year. Fancy going back and taking in Ghent as I never got the chance to see it. Went to Brussels as well. We stayed for 3 days which was more than enough as you could do the touristy bit in a day to be honest. Unless your just going for the beer of course. There's an awesome pub which had the widest selection of beers I've ever seen. It was down a side street and unless you know it's there you'd never find it - the entrance is a shop front. If you can stand the real ale crowd then its well worth a look. The mrs even liked it as they had all sorts of fruit beers on offer. I'll try and remember the name.

It's about 50 yards from the river but is on the main road - good beers though and Wylam has 3 other boozers which can be decent. Then once you've had a few and you fancy a bit of a rumble tyou can hop on the train to Prudhoe for black eye Friday.

The concept of NUST is a great idea it's just a shame it was very badly organised from the off. It's great having grand plans in pace but surely it would have been a better idea to get the structure in place before going out and asking the fans to part with their hard earned. Two many questions and not enough answers for this to get anywhere near getting off the ground.
