  1. Well, if it is true, the argument about the possibility of Ashley getting chinned is proved.
  2. "I'm not that fat." Erm, I've got news for you....
  3. Who knows the truth? I doubt we would believe anyone giving us a set of figures regarding the finances. FACT! (as close to being as can be): Ashley paid £130m for NUFC. FACT! The Northern Rock money was already spent. This was substantiated by the guy put in to run NR who said that tax payers were not paying Newcastle United players as the money had been sent to NUFC a long time ago. Other than that, we know nowt for certain. We can guess at tv money and a rough guess at ST income, but after that we don't know much. What I tend to believe, however, is that Shepherd left NUFC in a pretty shitty state financially. He seems to be getting away without any criticism. Did Ashley want to get NUFC away from the ridiculous mess we were in? I honestly believe he did. However, the fact that he chose to back Lambias, Wise et al over Keegan was his downfall. But how could he back Keegan??? Ashley had his business plan which was an attempt to get the club away from the financial mess it was in. Perhaps Keegan did want trophy signings, which would have gone against Ashley's plan. Then, Ashley went to put the rest of the team up for sale (oh, hang on, do we know this as a FACT! ????). If the other players were put up for sale, perhaps it was an attempt to off-set the money going to be spent on bringing Schweinsteiger (sp) to Newcastle (a move which went a bit of a way, if reports are true) ? Confused? Of course you are. Unless we get an owner who is prepared to bankroll NUFC to the tune of at least £50m pound a year, the situation aint gonna change any time soon.
  4. I stopped reading after that bit. He obviously hasn't got a clue.
  5. OMG!! The bloodlust is incredible...They're going after MOrt now!!! Just like the French revolution, we had better guillotine every fucker - just to be on the safe side. Liberte. Equalite. Fraternite.
  6. Yeah. It's all your fault. Hang your head in shame. SHAME! I wanna live foreva...
  7. That's a fair point, but when you've got the Abu Dhabi Group with their billions swooping in on City, they don't really need to do due diligence. If Gates had taken us over instead of Ashley he could have wiped off debts and spent as much as he'd like on players, because by the next transfer window he'll have recouped the loss in interest alone. If Ashley was trying to run this club within his means, he should have looked closer at it before he bought it then.. but I still think his departure won't hail a glorious future. The point I was making was that the press coverage of the club should be immaterial to anyone looking to invest, as if they talk to the right people then they'll get the right message about the club. If they're rich enough that they don't need to do due diligence and just want a club to fling some money at then the point still stands, blazer and tie boy! You're right in that, the only thing this press coverage is going to do is strengthen their bargaining position. The product hasn't changed, but the owners position clearly has. Trouble is, we're making the change now, when nothing can be done to the playing staff and it's unlikely we'll see Keegan reinstated and Wise leaving. And if I'm honest I don't want the scouting system (Vetere, Jiminez) to go, it's a vast improvement on past regimes. I bet you 40 Rupees that Wise, at some point, has offered to go but Vetere and Jiminez has said that if he goes, they go too. Ashley has baulked at that as that is the foundation of his business model. So, the choice was Ashley's business model or Keegan, and we know what won. Of course, there's no proof of the above.
  8. Are you really that precious as to get upset that someone has lied to you? I couldn't give a toss if he told me the sky was Green and my hair was full and voluminous as long as he delivered success. He's lost 2 managers in 8 months. Is that the steady road to success you crave. It wasn't the fans that got either of those managers sacked either. You reckon the fans didn't get Allardyce the sack?? I never saw an Allardyce out banner personally. Aye, whatever you say.

EDIT: you are probably infering that is was Allardyce himself.
  10. What have you/we got to apologise for? The demonstrations were and always have been entirely peaceful....and applauded by local police. Shepherd called our wives dogs and still came. No harm came to Llambias yesterday either. I'm not prepared to argue with you H/F. My final word on this is that I completely believe there would have been some neanderthal threatening him.
  11. I have to be honest here and my overwhelming feeling reading that is sadness at his feelings about the possibility of him and his family getting assaulted. May I, Mr Ashley, please apologise on behalf of the vast majority of NUFC fans who would not have abused you, nor, assaulted you or your family. In fact, I would very much like to see you sometime in the future alongside us in your Toon top supporting the team.
  12. Aye I don't think for a second that Llambias was given a list of the players that would make you laugh. I reckon the kick off was that Owen, Milner et al were put up for sale and Keegan fought against this. If these were deliberate power plays, then it's clear we were trying to mate a bull with an ocean liner. Like the QE Moo ?? I'll get me coat
  13. Cheers folks. I was just thinking that the best efforts would still have Ashley laughing all the way to the bank. btw, I'm still not sure that Ashley is the main problem at SJP.
  14. I'm too kind to mention her by name, but one of our number deliberately got herself pregnant so she could look more like her hero Mike Ashley! How you feel now, daftlass??
  15. Since he took it into private ownership (not sure of the structure) he will be liable for debts. There are very strong rules in the U.K. reg best practice and director responsabilities. I guess there are structures in place but how have the Glazer's managed to put all the debt at Man U onto Man U itself?? Oh, and my original post meant that ultimately he didn't have to sell the club at all - making us even more pissed off that we are now.
  16. i'd assume that'd mean he couldn't really sell the club though, shooting himself in the foot a bit the glazers had to from being a bit up shit creek from what i remember Sounds like you're right, Ant. Unless someone else knows different, you have allayed my fears. Keep boycoutting folks
  17. I like the pic! 'Dear Sir, you have been left £2.5m by a distant relative in a Nigerian bank account. All we need is some bank details from you to transfer the money.'
  18. Firstly, I must point out I'm not a financial expert. Anyway, what I was thinking is this: Most NUFC supporters are advocating not buying tickets for the cup games; not purchasing anything inside the ground; not buying anything from Sports Direct, as a means of cutting of the cash supply to Mike Ashley in the hope of forcing him to sell the club as his cash mountain diminishes. Now then, the thing is, surely Ashley can just re-finance monies to his pockets using NUFC as the main debtor (as the Glazers did at Man U) meaning he wouldn't be losing a fuckin' dime and laughing at the supporters even more? He could line his pockets to the tune of £150m+, unless I'm mistaken. I'd be grateful if someone with better knowledge of how the system works can allay my fears.
  19. a ) Now the fat twat demands 400million for the place!!!!!! b ) This is clearly a case of "fuck you, you cant afford it you poor Geordie bastards" However Im nore inclined to believe this is a piece of total and utter garbage cooked up by some lazy pissed hack. That's the top and bottom it. A total fabrication.
  20. Do people actually believe he sent that e-mail? Do you want my msn password nobhead? Been gettin texts about this all night, fuckin terrible hopes raised one minute, brutally bludgeoned the next. Fuckin cunts. Keegan's probably said look yous have tried to make me look like a cunt in the press, admit publicly you're a bunch of wanks, get rid of Wise and Llambias, give me a modest 30m in the window and I'll come back. That will be the conversation and Ashley's said no, he's dug his own grave now he must lie in it. All out abuse tomorrow, I don't care if it does no good it will make me feel better. 'Doubting Thomas' would have sufficed, but I can live with nobhead. :D
  21. Hmmm, not sure if my comment was actually printed in the Times . I hope not, as it was obviously a load of bullshit from my keyboard. There are countless numbers of far superior comments posted by me over the years they can use though
  22. So that's two sarnies and two cups of tea then??? EDIT: There were two. Lord, please tell me I'm not imagining it!!!
  23. Apologies. I had no intention of that but I can see how you were sucked in, as they say. MODS - you can lock this if you want.
  24. They have this guy on at the moment - I don't know his name (I don't want to know his name) - who is trying his best to sound like Jeff Stelling. A poor imposter. That is all.
