The debt is now equity, which is more efficient for a prospective buyer. Its canny basic stuff this. Not sure if that was a dig or not Anyway, yes, the money he lent is now equity (we all know that) - the point I was making is that the price on the ticket reflects the £40+m Ashley paid off the debt with i.e. what the club is worth + I've no idea what you're talking about. That doesnt worry me in the slightest either. The price of the club is £40m more than it would have been if the club were £40m in debt. Yes? EDIT: someone put me right. I have no problem in being considered thick as I'm too old to let that bother me. If Ashley wants his £40m back, then the price of the club is inflated by £40m, yes ??? EDIT 2: Fuck it. I'm off.

“If you think back, in the last month there has been some extraordinary turbulence in the world’s financial markets,” Christ, I had almost forgotten that!! FFS. Oh, and what's happened to the green duck thingy that Harris used to hang around with??

'No bids on the table'. I'm not surprised by that, as the process will be on-going with potential buyers (due dillegence and all that shite which seems to be the trendy saying these days) and no actual bids will have been made yet. imo. Trust you lot (NUSC) to have the next meeting when I'm away!!!! I'll get to one one day

Rob W paid for his with a stone with a hole in the middle!!!

Good luck Gamma. btw, how much are driving lessons these days? I was toying with the idea of getting some lessons for miss hips for her birthday/christmas.
-
Thank you Tooj. I was beginning to have doubts
-
Note to NUSC: no need to issue a statement regarding this lot.
-
Debt free. Apart from the loan of £40+m to pay back to Ashley, of course; a mere technicality!

The usual goings on south of the river. Thank God I live in civilization where the local crime amounts to a kid with a catapult or a bird pecking the lid of an old woman's pint of milk.

Despite the problems I have with the wording on the last statement, I am more than ready to fork out my £10 to join. The thought that this organisation can be perfect from the off is ludicrous and I am fully prepared for differences of opinion. I will be happier when I can join in any debates on-line and go to meetings though. Oh, and do I have to go to a website now via the link someone put on here earlier or will someone actually contact me to collect my money via the e-mail address I supplied?? Onward and upward for the NUSC.

My Icelandic account is frozen. Coat. Get. My. I'll.

No, just another (London as well) club likely to be sold to possible purchasers of NUFC.

A good comment, Tom, but I would have just loved it (to borrow a phrase) if Magma had said it

The people who are running NUSC obviously feel (quite rightly imo) that a statement from them should have been issued in respect of Jimenez's departure. After all, not to issue a statement for every major happening at NUFC would be daft, as the main point of the NUSC was to act as an intelligent means of communicating fans' thoughts surrounding events at NUFC. However, after hearing that accountants and lawyers etc are involved at the top of the NUSC I can't for the life of me understand such wording as used in the released statement. A simple communication along the lines of eg 'NUSC note the departure of mr x.' would have sufficed on this occasion imo. NUSC should not feel the need for any great missive for press releases unless the situation clearly demands it. imo.

I was astounded to learn recently that 'grockle' is actually in the OED !!

This is my first chance at giving my thoughts about his appointment. I always had a high opinion of him tbh. He doesn't do interviews very well but obviously doesn't want to hide. He's got a difficult job on his hands - more so, with the impending of the sale of the club and him being shown the door - but I hope (as we all do) that he can turn the team's fortunes around as we do have some good players who are just lacking in some decent organisation and self confidence.

After seeing Steve Wraith on the telly last night giving his twopennethworth, the need for this organisation is there for all to see.

With Sunday services I cannot make it down for that time, so it looks like it may have to be an overnighter on the Saturday night... Xmas piss up anyone? Hey, not a bad shout!! I should be home for that game and it will be the first of the season for me (soopafantastic ).

Neva played it - puff's game. Well someone had to say it

Does her fuckin' editor read her stuff before it's passed?? What absolute 6th form journalism. The Guardian must be aiming its sights on capturing the Daily Star readership with shite like that. Oh, and I would love to know what this hound thought about Peyter Reid and his language when Premier Passions was on the go. Stupid bitch.

Just got back from a fortnight in Nevada and California. Guess what the first drink I had when I got there was ?? Correct They have it in smaller bottles than we have here but it's just as good. -
I have to admit that I knocked it back. I did, however, suggest giving the job to Nobby Solano.

NUFC owner Ashley calls in football's Mr Fixit

So the trip to Dubai with Wise and Labia was a bluff and just a beano after all, then?? As I said at the time, why would Jimmy Crankie be involved in any sale discussions?? -
It's Spurs appointing Poyet and Wise, not us !!
