  1. I thought it was tonight. With the ginger twat and Mick Quinn.
  2. Must take a fuckin' week for the heat to reach your toes!!
  3. What we need is more people like me - I buy an ST and fuck all else - I've never bought anything in the ground (anyone who can't last 2 hours without a pie and pint is a fucking idiot) and I haven't owned a strip since I was about 14. It would be interesting to know what proportion of total income is made up by the "lesser" things people could affect. I think disillusionment will take care of the non ST part of the crowds until xmas. I'm pretty much the same. I can'tbe doing with queueing ages for a shite, expensive pint. Can't remember the last time I bought anything inside the ground As I'm not a ST holder I guess my protest could start straight away. *goes away to consider it*
  4. At last. Someone has just realised. That's why I want him, and only him, out. Wise is Ashleys man, you wont get rid of Wise without getting rid of Ashley. Maybe, maybe not, but I'd like to think Wise could be forced out with the right approach.
  5. Don't you think he could have either said something earlier or at least left at a better time? Well he sort of tried after the Chelsea game and was whipped off to London for a telling off. I can see totally where KK was coming from and I don't really care what players he was asking for, you either compete in the PL or you go backwards and then down. IMO he waited till the window to see if they had signed any good players. For me he had little idea what was occurring and it might even have taken him time to realise the true nature of MA. That's what I think did it for him. He was being told to build from nothing (i.e. youth) AND deliver progress on the Top 4. Impossible. You can use youth to help you eventually, but to make inroads into the top 4 you need to spend significantly for NOW players as well (and have a decent squad not just first 11). The whole management structure are idiots if they think they can get top 4 (or top 5 now with Man City) on a £12m per year transfer budget. I'm sure Arsenal will be trotted out, but they 1. came from a pretty strong position before Wenger and from a different time in the Premier League (there was no Top 4/5 when Wenger came) 2. have spent a lot of money anyway to get and stay where they are. That's the whole thing with the 'do an Arsenal' thing. Apart from the PL being more open, like you say, there's also the small matter of the players Wenger inherited - the likes of Ian Wright, Bergkamp and a fantastic (if ageing) back 4 (5 inc. Spunky). He was also given plenty money to spend as well with some of his best players (Henry, Overmars, Pires) arriving for what weren't exactly insubstantial fees at the time. I know they were all good value but that's by the by. He also spent a fair wedge on less successful players too (Wiltord for one) so he was never constrained by what equates to £12m to spend in the current climate. Exactly. Wenger inherited one of the best defenses in English football as well as other great players. He also bought Franny Jeffers as well for a tidy sum!!!!
  6. I've said this before: the fickle fuckers will forget the faults and give up. I wish I could be going to the game on sat because I would be venting my spleen to abuse Wise, whether he is there or not. I want him gone. Whether we are successful or not, I want someone who I respect in that position within the club. I only wish that all NUFC supporters felt the same as I honestly believe that a concerted effort to get rid of Wise could be accomplished. I can't see us being able to get rid of Ashley, but a concerted, continuous, vocal offensive against Wise would either piss him off so much that he resigned, or Ashley gave up and got rid of him with a handsome pay off. Wise is the problem at NUFC, not Ashley. Ashley is just a rich guy who bought a football club yet doesn't know a thing about how to run it and takes advise from others.
  7. I see what you're saying and I agree to support the team (away from the ground) but anyone coming in is going to be agreeing to be part of the Ashley regime and in my eyes part of the problem. I can't support any part of the managerial setup while Fat Cunt's running the show. Anyone seen supporting the team is going to be seen by the media as supporting Ashley or at the very least accepting the club as it stands. This is what I have a bit of a problem with: the argument about the set up at NUFC. How do we know, for certain, what the set up is and what involvement the manager has with bringing players in?? All we have is Keegan walking out in a huff. Now this could be because he took a hissy fit at not being allowed to buy Henry. If that's the case then who's wrong, Keegan or the set up ??? Who's to say that the set up is wrong?? The only proof will be in the results and the abilities of the players brought in. I haven't been able to see any of the new boys but all I have read from this message board is that they look pretty good. If that's the case then the set up is working, yes??? If the set up proves to be working well, then NUFC will move forward without going into mega debt - surely a win win situation. As I've said before, the problem I see with this set up is that good signings will be poached by the more affluent clubs, meaning NUFC will remain mid-table for evermore. My problem with the hierarchy at sjp is Wise; always has been, always will be. That's all fair enough bud, thing is from what I've seen (without going in to quotes) the club has lied on several occasions recently and I'm less inclined to believe them than I am Keegan. Besides which with Keegan onboard there was a genuine feeling of excitement and that we were all in this together, even the players were seemingly loving it again. There's less evidence towards Keegan throwing a hissy fit for not being allowed to bring in players like Henry than there is for Ashley and Wise fucking things up - I won't be happy until the Fat Cunt's out the door. I can understand the argument againsT Ashley. The way I look at it is this: what does he know about running a football club? Nowt. So he employs Mort to run the show (who knows next to nowt also, but has a hell of a lot of intelligence), which he does pretty darned well. The mood blackens as Sam Allardyce's brand of football is fucking people off. He sacks Allardyce and then has the chance to get Keegan in - something of a dream scenario for Ashley. Now then, throughout all this time, Ashley has been taking advise about how to set up a football club and he decides to adopt this continental approach. He then makes the biggest mistake of all by employing Wise. From then on, the days are numbered for Keegan as Wise is like a cancer in Ashley's ear by continually giving him advise about all manners of shite. Mort leaves as he sees what's coming. Ashley doesn't heed Mort's warning and continues to listen to the cockny shithead Wise. Hey presto, we're where we are today. All because Ashley made the mistake of employing Dennis Wise. The set up can prove brilliant or shite, but as long as that self-centered no-mark arsehole has got Ashley's ear things will be run Wise's way because there's no-one there to tell Ashley otherwise.

  10. He's not a Leeds fan. A true Leeds fan would have gone ballistic over the comments about the stabbings in Istanbul. If he does still profess his support for them he can only be a plastic fan - no doubt about it. EDIT: looks like he's pretending to be a Liverpool fan now. That's the last post from me on this sad fucker.
  11. I have to admit that my heart sank when I heard about Poyet being on the brink of getting the job. Yet another of Wise's mates - thus strengthening his position within the club (not to mention more involvement with team affairs). However, whoever gets the job, the results on the pitch is what matters so Poyet will get my support as long as the team play well and win matches (that's if he does get the job).
  12. Don't suppose you asked for Helen's number whilst you were at it?? No but he did mention one of his staff had been approached on one of the forums by some dirty old man who then made some very suggestive comments via PM Aye, I suppose that would be a fair assessment
  13. The thing is, who the fuck is conducting the search/negotiations for a new manager at the moment??? Scary, when you think about it.
  14. Don't suppose you asked for Helen's number whilst you were at it??
  15. Yawn. Think I'll have spag bol for me tea. Yum yum.
  16. Don't buy any until you're in the airport or actually at your holiday destination - sorted.
  17. Sorry, Steve. That's a bit too much if you ask me.
  18. Except you got beat in the final 2-0... Is that when their wonderful fans smashed up the Parc de Princes (sp).
  19. Newcastle United : FA Cups 6 Runners up 7. Leeds United : FA Cups 1 Runners up 3 Newcastle United Post War: 0 titles - Leeds: three, should have been a lot more though. FA Cups: 3 Leeds: 1 UEFA Cups: Toon 1 - Leeds 2. European Cups - Toon 0 - Leeds 1. When did Leeds win the European Cup btw? They didn't as far as I'm aware. Not to my knowledge. We must have been looking elsewhere at the time.
  20. We was one of the most dominant forces in European football from 1965-1975, we won the title in 1992, 7 top five finishes in the Premiership, a UEFA Cup and Champions League semi final. Show us your CV from 1990 onwards? Oh, and 1989-90, wonderful season. It's been a ball. As I said earlier, there wont be one true football fan who isn't overjoyed at the state of Leeds United. Still, you've got Ken Bates (makes our owner seem a dream really) Laters
  21. '...the fallen giants of football..' Er, would that be Leeds United, formaly Leeds City who were forced to shut down by the FA (along with another club if my memory serves). '...a Toon Army supporter.....' ??? Jeez, you're beginning to sound as though you've sniffed too much flour over the years.
  22. I have no intention of doing the survey because as soon as sunlun fans get involved the whole exercise will become a joke. I guess by your post that other websites are mentioned? If toontastic is not, then the persons who formulated the survey haven't got a clue, as toontastic has the most intelligent posters of any message site about NUFC. I don't include myself in this, before you ask, but I honestly believe that some of the posters on here are far and away superior in their knowledge and common sense than other boards.
  23. I think a bit of a reality check is in order for you and a lot of Newcastle supporters. Another 'low' for NUFC??? We are in the Premiership. We are pretty much solvent as a company. We have around 35 - 40 thousand season ticket holders (a fair few of which have signed up already for another two years). We have a squad, which admittedly thin, has some good mid-table (at worst) players. The 'low' that NUFC are in at the moment is only about the structure the owner wants the club to adopt and the fact that the manager resigned. Until results start going pear-shaped there is no catastrophic 'low' that NUFC are in. And no-one, but no-one, knows how results and team performances will go from here.
