In Spain (I imagine it happens in all countries) the press has a lot of power. Here, the press is 100% in favor of Real Madrid. When Spain plays, honestly, there is no union as a country... And people continue to divide. There are many who do not support the team because they do not agree with the coach. Luis Enrique, the former coach, was very disliked by the press because he simply did not laugh at the nonsense they said. So since Luis Enrique returned (he was absent for a while because his daughter died) the press has wanted to throw him out. The reason? He was a former Barcelona coach and player... And not many Real Madrid players went to his team (I think only Asensio and Carvajal went). Now, Spain has a new coach (Luis de la Fuente). He is the former coach of the Sub21 category. Personally, I don't like it. From day one, the media have been delighted with the new coach and the team is once again full of Real Madrid players. They have already said that he is a much better coach than Luis Enrique (and that he has never directed a professional team). It is obvious that Spain no longer has the team it had in 2006-2014. Although the selection is good, it is young... But details are missing. For example... The striker is torn between Joselu, Borja Iglesias (forward for a mid-table team like Betis) or Morata. The same thing happens with defense. There are no good and absolutely guaranteed centrals. Oh well. They are processes. I would have kept Luis Enrique, although the last World Cup was a failure, but at least he had some ideas and a project in his head.

Joselu, Merino, Grant Hanley, John Carver, Steve Clarke... I don't know if I'm watching a Scotland-Spain or a tribute video with historic people from Newcastle United.

Hanley vs Joselu in this match... 😂

And he said too that he knows some of the offers that clubs hava made to the player and Celta can't keep him, so he expected to sell the player in 30th June.

Something that I hope Ashworth is working on is the free agent market because there are really interesting players at zero cost. Obviously they will ask for a transfer bonus for them... But it is a market that can be very 'affordable' and the best thing is that the agreements can be closed right away. -Ndicka (CB/Frankfurt). He is one of the best centre-backs for the future. A player who, if he did not finish his contract, would leave his club for 30-35M. He is too young. He plays the ball very well... The 'problem' is that he's a left-footed center back, and we have Botman there as a great investment. Typical player that as soon as he signs a PSG or similar, he will be selected with France. -Tielemans (MC/Leicester). There is not much to say. We all know him. At his highest level he is a very good player. I think it would be good to have someone with his profile because he can play alongside Bruno, but also because he has characteristics to replace him when he's not around. -Thuram (Winger/GladBach): He is a physical beast and a versatile player above. He can play on both wings, but also as a center forward. I see him very well to complement the squad. Another similar option could be Bamba (Left Winger). -Grimaldo/Guerreiro/Bensebaini: Three very good options for the Left Side. I would be sorry to have to sit Burn out, but I think it's a very good position to strengthen with players other than Burn himself. These three that I mention have experience in Europe. Let's say that Grimaldo and Bensebaini are on the rise and still have some room for improvement (in fact, I think that Grimaldo could be a player who wants to try to sign Barcelona and that this will lead to the national team) and perhaps Guerreiro is already going a bit further. decline and its best years are over.. -Aouar (MC/OL) ¡: Bruno's partner in the Lyon midfield. They understood each other very well. The old dream of Arsenal, who has tried to sign him in recent years. What better than to steal a player from them again? There are players who might not get us up to the starting level of the team, but can serve as players number 16 or 17 on the roster. Doucouré, Soyuncu (if Lascelles leaves), Coufal (as a substitute for Trippier and better than Manquillo and Krafth),

I'm not going to refute either of them (and I admit that I've also seen little of Veiga), but it is true that he has played as a defensive midfielder on several occasions this year. In fact, since the end of January more or less his fixed position has been with Celta de Vigo playing in 4-4-2 and with Veiga being one of the team's two midfielders. Maybe Veiga and McTominnay can play the same position. In fact, they sure can, because they are, even though their functions would be different. In my opinion, McTominnay is a stopper or a player who plays exclusively in a defensive position, and for me he is clearly a position to reinforce in the team because we don't have anyone with those characteristics. Veiga would be a more creative player, who (at the moment) tends to go on the attack and is not mature enough to keep the position.

Celta de Vigo President have said today that 4 of the Top10 Premier League teams have asked info about Gabri Veiga (In Spain some weeks ago the press said that Newcastle, Arsenal and Man United scouters were in the stands to see the pplayer) and that they only sell veiga for his realase clause (35M£)
-
Something interesting about Veiga is that although his position is attacking midfielder, this season he has played as a defensive pivot, but also as a winger and even in a couple of games as a center forward. And everywhere he has played well.
-
He really is a very amazing player and what can be said about him is based on very little experience. Let me explain: the boy is an unknown player who has exploded this year at Celta de Vigo. He is only 20 years old and he made his debut two seasons ago, but in the last two seasons he has barely added 200-300 minutes. This year, on the other hand, he is breaking it as an Attacking Medfield. He would say that the ideal position for him is where Willock is playing today. Also, I think they are players who can be similar in style. Veiga is undoubtedly the revelation player this season in the Spanish League. I am sure that if he was playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona he would already be called up with the senior team of Spain. He is a very physical player, but also very technical. He arrives very well from behind, breaking the line, but he also has a very good shot from distance.

Last days, Diario AS in Spain is selling we are very close to Gabri Veiga (35M release clause). But they say too that the player prefer Real Madrid to stay in Spain.

I don't like Ten Hag very much. He is complaining about Newcastle's style saying that we lose a lot of effective playing time. He already complained about the same thing last year in the match against Atleti in the Champions League (and it turned out that the data said in the end more real time was played in the Atleti matches than the MU ones). A few years ago, when Getafe eliminated the Ajax that he coached in the Europa League, he also had a lot of criticism of Getafe's style of play due to the interruptions he made. I don't like these types of coaches who believe that they do everything right and that the style of others is wrong.

If we could get Coutinho in the summer for a good price... For me it is a weakness. It is true that he is not in good shape and since he left Liverpool he is far from his best level... But it would be a bet that I would take. Together with Bruno and Joelinton, he could find a good setting to shine again... And if not, simply a creative player in the midfield. A player we don't have.

According SofaScore, he is the second best player in the 5 best european leagues in stats terms.
