  1. From the man who rarely posts outside of general for fear of showing himself up? Fish, I bow to your knowledge of the game.
  2. Can't live off the Berbasulk and Carrick spoils forever. Name the players in your side now that you think you could sell for a profit? Van Der Vaart might be one though he'd have a limited set of clubs he could go to, then there's Lennon. Bale's value will have gone up from the 10m you paid. Modric's value will have held. Huddlestone's will have risen. The rest will have dropped off. Gomez 8m Hutton 9m Kaboul 9.5m (you've already lost 5.5m on him) Jenas 7m+ Pavlyuchenko 14m Keane 12m+ Palacios 12m Crouch 10m dos Santos 5m+ Defoe 16m Bentley 15m+ Bassong 8m Dawson 8m Corluka 8.5m For a start there are several glaring errors and ommissions You include the 5.5 mil loss on Kaboul but refuse to acknowledge the 8 million profit on keane. Also we only ended paying 5m to Southampton for Bale as we bought out way out of the other 5 for an upfront payment as they were struggling. We would probably get 5 times that now. Dawsom came as an 8 mil package with andy reid. So at the most you can value him at him at 4 mil. Worth probably 3 times that now. Lennon bought from Leeds for 1.5mil. Worth between 8-10 now I would say. Huddlestone bought from Derby for 4.5 mil. Would command int he region of 10-15 mil for him now. Gallas aquired on a free, would probably get a couple of mil for him on recent form. And lets face it alot of players you mention above have take Spurs to the CL. Do you think that would have decreased their value? Son. I would do some research before slating other peoples teams because youre never going to know as much as them and ALWAYS going to get burried. They won't be taking you into the CL this year. Aye god know how we will make up that point we are outside.
  3. Leave with a sh!t load less debt and never have to make your bed in the morning. Sounds perfect to me. Just go back to hers.

  5. Based on the fact that we have qualified for the knock out stages of the champions league and this is the closest prem title chase in many years with the powers of Chelsea and united fading? Or the fact we now have players choosing to move to us over said teams?
  6. Of course Seems to be a solid history of Tottenham stuff-ups on the player market. Ignoring Berbatov 10m > 30m And Carrick 3.5m > 18m or my personal favorite Mido 2.5 > 4.5 hahaha yeah we're the mugs And also thanks to the generosity of mr Learner a small profit on Bent. Im sure a 5mil loss on Bentley and a 6m NET gain on Keane over his spurs life will soften that blow of being this country's transfer dunces
  7. I love the way that OZspur is trying to portray one of the most well run clubs in the country that operates consistantly at an operating profit with little debt as some kind of wasteful bloated machine. Hes quite the genius
  8. Another of the bench brigade at Tottenham; sparsely used collecting their big wages to sit on the bench whilst their market value deterioriates. See Keane. See Bentley. See Jenas. See Wioodgate. See King. See dos Santos. See Kranjcar. See Sando. See Corluka. Its a squad game now boys. You need to good players in each poision at least if you want CL football. Woodgate / King long term injured. Jenas has had quite a few games this season. Corluka was first choice until he got injured. Those players are out of the team on form not favour, we have players keeping them out because they are playing so well. Some might have to leave to get a game but so is life. It isnt a waste because they are all there to cover in case of injury. As an aside not even Ledley our top paid member of playing staff will be earning close to your top earners.
  9. Last year of his contract not much we could do about that. All we did was right off the wedge they owed us for Kaboul.
  10. Assuming you paid no additional amount on top of the 12m for Keane from Liverpool (not including the wages you've wasted on him, which would be in the millions) plus the 14m you paid for Pavlyuchenko if you sold them to Sunderland you'd be losing a tidy 10m. Bentley's only on loan and you won't get anywhere near the 15m you paid for him before any add ons. You probably have the highest paid bench in the league excluding Manchester City who are well and truly in their own financial bracket. I don't see how you could net 4m from the signing of Bent considering you sold him for less than you bought him for. Maths not your strong point fella? Keane = 8 - 20 + 12 = 0 So a 4 mil loss on Pav. We can eat that up neh bother. Logic not your strong point? Point A. Tottenham do not have Robbie Keane Point B. Tottenham buy Robbie Keane for 12m (plus bonuses) from Liverpool Point C. Tottenham pay Robbie Keane to play in spits and spats and sit on the bench collecting money in the meantime The fact that you had had Robbie Keane at your club earlier counts for diddly as it was a completely separate set of transactions. Strange logic when you are talking about a player we had previously made an 12 million profit on. Surely that should be point A? Or did Robbie Keane not exist before Liverpool? Its an interesting point you make although it does break some fairly fundamental rules of quantum dynamics.
  11. You are right, I have clearly lost the interwang wars. Zoids 4 - Douggy 0

  13. Stevie too! Beautiful. I know its early and you're northern lads but UP YOUR GAME
  14. 16 mil for Bentley and Keane. Couple of mil each for Krunchy and Ohara. Loads of money!!! And when The Londinium Hotspurs are playing in the Warburtons Mega Dome in Stratford next to a mega tescos and a huge premier lodge who will pay for the stadium....we will be truly a European force. Don't worry, Dangerous Danny Levy has it all in hand. Pwopa Spurs fan you like... advocating a move away from their true roots... ha ha, not blessed with the brains you were born with.
  15. Sunderland a reportedly willing to part with 16 mil to land Keane and Pav. Yes we did pay UPTO 17m for Bentley but if you think he met any of his add on targets I would be very surprised. We are also reportedly set to land another 4mil from the sale of bent....no very suckerish behaviour if you ask me. Whilst I agree we should have never bought Keane back the deal was actually 12m and if you add the 8 we paid for him the move back and forward cost us nothing. We rarely make a loss on players but any we do is easily offset by some significant gains over the years, a players market value is purely down to what people are willing to pay. If anyone thinks Bent is worth 18 let alone 24 they need their brains looked at. Desperation move by Villa.
  16. Course Ive seen it you nob. I would rather have a manager who gets narky after a defeat than a pest who tries it on with players wives, wouldn't you Stevie boy?
  17. 11 until 6 on a week day 1 until 11 on a weekend Always tired.
  18. @Alan_thepest_pardew Anybody aware of any d0gging spots in the Tyne Wear area?

  20. ???????? "@AndyCarroll9: If I ever left in my Career, you must know that Newcastle would always be in my heart." Sounds ominous.
  21. I offer you : ha ha fair enough.
  22. Nasri easily has the most punchable face in football. I want to kick his snearing girly face off.
  23. Is it even classified as a Derby? Surely Liverpool Everton and Utd City are derbies. Even more so now considering league positions / standard at which each team is playing.
  24. Never been involved myself but know people who are. There have been times that I am glad they I do, Cardiff away in the cup a couple of seasons back being one of them. Put it this way, I would rather be "with them" than "against them".
  25. Park life stands bravely alone on that craggy outcrop, braving the chill wind of reason and the driving rain of popular opinion.
