  1. I don't think this game will be as straightforward as everyone is predicting, they'll be fighting for their lives and we have 3 of our best midfielders out. I predict a scrappy 1-0 win with Shola coming on to score a late winner! As for the midfield situation, if Pardew sticks with 4-3-3 then I can see it being Jonas-Gosling-R.Taylor, which doesn't leave me feeling very confident as I think Gosling still has an awful lot to prove.
  2. I'm far too confident of us getting all three points, I'm going to end up jinxing us Is there any news on whether Perch will be fit for this or not?
  3. really? i thouht they looked good. 0-0 wasn't it? i din't remember us deserving to win. i liked the way they passed it on the deck too Aye 0-0, don't know if it was just because I had huge expectations regarding their playing style, but I seem to remember them playing extremely defensively.
  4. If you'd asked me who was going to win before the West Brom game then I probably would have backed Swansea, but these last two games have filled me with confidence (our attack especially) and I can honestly see us getting 3 points quite easily. Swansea have got a lot of praise from the media this season, most of which has been deserved due to some of their results and performances, especially from a newly promoted team; however did anyone else think they were hugely disappointing at St James' this season? In fact I'd go so far as to say that they gave the worst performance from any away team at our place this season.
  5. Done, the fact a company sponsors my team doesn't really effect the way I feel about the company or make me more likely to use their services in all honesty, but maybe that's just me!
  6. You just don't get it do you? At no point have any of the Leazes Corner claimed to be "better" than other fans, I wasn't in the Leazes corner and I fully back them. When have they ever said they were better? They simply want to generate a better atmosphere which the ground needs, because it sounded like a morgue for the majority of the Arsenal game. Why do people like you continue to act as self appointed apologists for the club? It's simple why he kicked them out, simple. Because he spat his dummy out when they gave him grief. Thanks Ashley, now I've got to listen to the away fans drown out our support for the next 18 games. Can I ask why you have some sort of agenda against people that stood in that section? Because none of them claim to better fans, the only thing they can claim is that they made a hell of a lot more noise.
  7. @Yournamehere. I didn't stand in the Leazes corner the past few seasons so wasn't affected by this move. But I'll tell you something, the way they have been treated is appalling. Would you rather we all sat down and drank some Bovril in the East Stand? Personally I enjoy singing and backing the lads but if you don't thats up to you. There should be a choice.
  8. There wouldn't have been a problem if they weern't moved in the first place. At least they are attempting to make some sort of atmosphere.
  9. I was in the middle tier of the Leazes (Level 3?) but closer to the Leazes Corner. The atmosphere was poor to be honest bar the incident involving Barton which got the crowd on their feet for a bit. I noticed more stewards than usual in the Strawberry Corner and wondered if there was any trouble?
  10. How come when I view a thread, instead of seeing all the replies underneath they are like mini hyper links?
