I have one of those and a JCM600 head. THey are nice Ditched the Marshall in the end as the Rocker cost me £35 more than I was expecting. Got the Rocker for £335 which is fairly good as they are £780 new and this is only two years old. If need be I can sell it on for more anyway. Sweet

That's the doubt I was on about dickhead And anyone who thinks Ashley woke up on Sunday morning in a Scrooge like state after being visited by the ghosts of Toon past, present and future wants their heads examining. That's just put an image in my head which has made me laugh. Be fookin brilliant if that happened like

Good interview I thought. Shearer ruling out life beyond 8 eight games, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are all just playing it safe. If NUFC have offered JK an contract beyond this season, Shearer, Lardarse or anyone cannot then talk about Shearer staying on next season can they. Right now, I'm with Shearer. Lets concentrate on the next 8 games and see what happens then. In all honesty, regardless of ability; JK would be a fool to come back and take up a full-time managers job because of his health and I don't expect him too. Let things run their course and we'll see where things lie on 24th May.

That being the case I presume you thought Brazil 1970 and England 1966 were shit too? Erm, no because neither of them look like crap freebee polo shirts
-
I dont normally buy England tops so this wont make much difference to me. I think it looks crap tbh. My first impression was that it looked like a freebee polo shirt and I still think the same.

This. btw he does have the right badges. The guy from the league managers assoc has just been on saying its all legit. Was being sarcastic btw, hence the "...probably " bit at the end. According to the LMA site Shearer's being listed as "Manager" so maybe he has the badges. I assume they would refer to him as something else if he hadn't.

Just switched the tv on and can't believe it. It's gone 12:00 so it can't be an April fool. Not read all the pages - fuckin 22 man! But here's my Great news IMO. We need osmeone to lift us and get us in the fighting spirit we need to be in to survive. At the end of the day, Shearer has nowt to lose and everything to gain. We were looking likely for going down before he took over, and it's a mammoth task to avoid that. If we don't it's not his fault. If anyone can keep us up it's him though. He wont be here next season though - he's not got the badges has he? He'll be here on a temporary basis to do a job. If he keeps us up and as part of his return, got rid of Wise; then it's job done in my eyes. The way is cleared for a seasoned manager to take us forward next season. Surely MA has learned by now you can't run a club on a shoestring. I don't expect him ever to splash the cash Roman stylee (and never have) but hell you need to spend a bit! Can we narrowly avoid the jaws of death and learn from our mistakes? or am I getting lost in my renewed optimism? ...... probably It'll be same old, same old next season probably

That would be quality like. Either him or Sir David Frost.

Sorry to spam the thread, but I had another thought (ironically whilst I was making another brew :lol ). Ben kept Locke's body. It's like the NEEDED to be on the plane. After all, when he "couldn't do it" he got Jack to organise it. Methinks that was just to get Jack's Dad's shoes. Meaning Lockes death at the hands of Ben was all part of the plan? I don't know, seems flimsy, the fact Locke is alive when he was dead before says something. I wonder if Ben knew he would be resurrected (he must of done otherwise why bring him back?) - which begs the question; why did he have to die in the first place? Jesus I need to stop thinking about this - it makes your head hurt :lol

The scene with Ben lying unconscious in the bed occurred after Sun had knocked him out so chances are that some of the other survivors found him and took him to their makeshift hospital. Really? That would make sense like. I guess I hadn't put those pieces together because that scene happened before we saw him get knocked out. I guess the fact Ben has the cuts on his face shows he's in the same timezone as Locke, Sun et al.

Surely murder is a mortal sin and would prevent Ben from returning to the island? Well, Sayid has returned and he's murdered a few by all accounts. Something tells me Ben killed Locke because he's a threat to him in some way (or maybe it's jealousy? Locke seems to be connected to the island and plays a big part - Ben doens't like sharing?). Locke had served his purpose, or maybe Ben gussed eh could finished the job Locke started. Problem with this is - Locke knew he was going to die in order to get the others back. Therefore, it must have been scripted (I dont mean by the writers lol) that Locke would die. Presumably Ben was tasked with doing that. I can't help but think that Jack having to get his dad's shoes in the casket will have some significance too. Hopefully more than just Jack's dad needing new shoes lol Questions, questions questions......

Something occurred to me whilst I was making a brew. Have I imagined this - but didn't one of the previous episodes in the series (just before the break IIRC) show Locke alive and well on the island after plane crash #2. I seem to recall the episode ending with Ben lying unconscious in a bed and some bloke asking Locke who he was. Locke replied "thats the man who killed me". So if I have this right, there is an unconscious Ben in Locke's time, an unconscious Ben on the beach after Sunn hit him with an oar and a shot boy-Ben in 1977 with Jack et al? Gets about a bit doesnt he? BTW - acquiring previous seasons so I can do some catching up. Really getting into this now and I can see there is so much I am not getting - partly cos thats the way they write it and partly cos I've missed loads.

Saw Brum v Ipswich in either 98 or 99. Housemate was a tractor boy. Can't remember the score. Can only remember it was bloody freezing and I was bored to tears.
