That billboard poster of him holding the steering wheel is less than flattering.... and he already needs all the flattering he can get.

Is it just me, or has anyone thought that Stevies reason for starting this thread is to canvas the board looking for potential recruitment candidates/employers? Can't knock your thinking like Stevie.....

He was born in Hawarden IIRC, which is technically North Wales - although it's little more than a stones throw from Chester. His parents are English born I think. They must have registered him at the Chester office for Births/Deaths etc. Edit: I was sort of right. I quick look on Wikipedia shows he lived in Hawarden but was born in Chester. Actually, you were wrong and I was right Went to same school as Gary Speed iirc. clever bastid Edit: (see bold bit) So you read the Wiki page too then Useless fact: My brother lives in the village of Ewloe. Has seen MO's Dad a few times in one of the village pubs. Apparently MO sometimes comes in with him.

They aren't sandals and socks. Its a pair of Fly trainers isn't it? You can see the laces. Edit: Mind you, I wouldn't wear them with that shirt/tie/jumper/shorts combo lol

Speaking of jersey's. I'd got Mrs Paws to put my old shirt on - there was a time a few seasons ago when we'd win if she put the shirt on. Yes, I'm clutching at straws. Mind you, I suppose some may argue I'm not fully committed because I haven't woken Master Paws up and got him to put his on. .... I was tempted, but Mrs Paws would go mental

Lightweight Stay and suffer with the rest of us you soft arse

I'm sure it would be organised so that the paper work or whatever didn't go through in time. I think it would have to be done by midday today anyway. It's not uncommon to have a clause which stops the player playing against his old club for the remainder of the season though isn't it? Or have I just imagined that? Imagined it i think only see those clauses when they are on loan normally Ah! I'll bet that's what I've confused it with

I would imagine the deal will be concluded by then. Hopefully, there is a clause where he wont play against us tomorrow. Having said that, if it's not concluded, I would expect to see Harps in goal. That would pretty much confirm he's on his way.

Rock Radio in Manchester are reporting this as a done deal now apparently. Deal agreed at £10m with Shay reportedly on £100k/wk Don't know how true this is like.

Feel for ya mate. I'll be gutted when I lose mine. She more my cat than Mrs Paws' now. Sounds like you did the right thing though, as much as it sucks.

Cheers fellas - bunch of toss. Ah well, 60GB it is..... Can't understand why they won't make it backwards compatible though - I take it the original Playstation games have no chance? I think it was something to do with the cost of the chip required to run both PS2 & PS3 games. Sony are (or were originally at least) making a loss on every PS3 they sold. The cynic in my says it's so that people ditch their PS2 and switch fully to PS3. I have no such compatibility issues with my 360 - it just isn't EDIT: I should also say, the HDD is dead easy to upgrade in the PS3 - Sony even tell you how to do it on their website. IIRC, it wont invalidate your warranty either (M$ - take note at the nice console company). I know this because one of the lads in the office has done it. You can even migrate your files across to the new drive. Buy the 60gb version and upgrade the HDD - Win Win.

If I'm not mistaken (I have a 360) the 80gb version was the original and it was backwards compatible. They changed the chip in the subsequent ones which meant they weren't backwards compatible - hence no disclaimer on the 60gb model (same for the 40gb). erm, I think I have that arse about face - lol But you get what I meant. The 60gb version was the original wasn't it? Anyway, the more recent ones arent compatible IIRC

Can someone work out where the 18 points are coming from?
maggiespaws replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm currently going for the Ostrich approach and my head is firmly lodged in the sand. If I start looking at predictors and guessing results I'll probably cry. *if I dont think about it it wont happen - la la la* One game at a time...... -
Uncomfortably true

bbc stream wont work for me - bah!

He's a young lad finding his feet in the league. He's not had half the regular football and he still fucks up less than Taylor IYAM. Another assist on Saturday too. Totally agree. He's not perfect and he's had a fair amount of time out recently but I don't think he's quite the liability some people make out. He had good and bad spells last season (his first in the EPL remember) and he is only young. We seem to expect foreigners to fit from day one and it's a lot to expect for someone who doesn't even arrive speaking the native language. Couple this with the fact we've been shite since before he joined he's not exactly had the time to settle and adjust. We need him to be perfect all the time because of our other onfield problems but that's a bit much to ask IMO. Similar for Colo I think too. Beye has settled much quicker, but then he is a bit older and more experienced.

Yeah, and our luck is going to run out at some point. For the last few seasons we've been lucky there are teams more shit than we are.
