  1. Ben won't be dead. If Locke can walk and rise from the dead because the island deems him important enough, then Ben won't be dead. He can't be if he existed in the future anyway - thats the paradox.
  2. Just stumbled on this thread and I can't believe I missed it! Congrats pet, he looks champion!
  3. Stalybridge Celtic just beat Blyth Spartans 2:0 and are now 5th in the conference North. According to that earlier link, Oldham are my nearest team, then citeh and stockport county; but I can walk from my house to SC's ground so I'm counting them.
  4. it isn't owned by Mike Ashley is it I've logged into the AVG help forum to try and solve this, if I can't then I'm going to bin the thing and go to something else, so thanks for that and to Jimbo and everyone else too. na, their discount scheme hasn't change in 2yrs Joking aside I recently added a couple of licences to my a setup. Eset charged me the difference between the 3 licences to 5 and pro-rata'd it down the term left on the original 3 licences. So I ended up paying what I would have paid if I'd taken out all 5 at the beginning. I was impressed by that. EDIT: I should mention, in the nigh on 2yrs I've been running nod32 I've never had a virus and only been hit by an instance of malware once. That one instance was just recently when I installed a free pdf maker. The pdf maker itself was fine but the 'addon toolbar' was not. Turns out the toolbar was not written by the original company. Either way I installed the trojan by giving permission for the install - it wasn't missed by NOD32.
  5. I use NOD32 and as I've said in other threads - it works. It has the smallest memory footprint which means it wont slow you down. It's only £30 and I'd place higher trust in something I've paid for to protect me than freebies. Besides, spend £60 and you get 3yrs for the price of 2 which is what I did. I use it on all my PC's - home and business. EDIT: They offer a sliding scale for more licences too Link to ESET site with prices so if you know of anyone else would would want it, you can share the cost. It's £80 for 2 licences for 3yrs etc.
  6. Now: Jessica - Allman Brothers Band (Top Gear tune for those who dont know). Rock Radio play the full version with the long solo. Loving it Jesus, as I edit this the next track is Crossroads - Cream (live version) guitar-tastic
  7. The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary Love this track
  8. I think it does ! it falls to the ground in front of him at the very end. Fuck me, it does! I thought that was the hammer part of the sledgehammer. That's getting saved to the computer. I think he's got a red bandanna on underneath which doesn't make it look obvious. Just took apart the clip frame by frame. It is his hat that fall back to the ground. I can't be sure (too much movement between frames), but I think the hammer head leaves the shaft at a totally different angle to the rest of the hammer and the blokes arms. In fact it goes through the air at the place where his head was a second earlier. I have to stop watching now, my gut hurts....
  9. Depends how authentic you need to be I suppose. Do you reckon you could get away with a Wah and a really dirty sounding distortion? EDIT: I've always fancied having a go of a talkbox. Never seen one in real life though.
  10. Mrs Paws and I have just been giggling and the landmine one for about 2mins. It gets funnier the more you watch it. The mad bastid
  11. One of mine arrived last week. Was getting nervous about the other two until I managed to speak to the ticket office. It seems, apparently, I elected to collect those at the venue......
  12. Perhaps, for safety, change the team names slightly. With the names of the teams from Pro Evo 9
  13. After this weekend's spineless display, I have to admit I'm more worried now than I was on Friday. Our biggest saving grace is that some of the other teams around us have a more difficult run in than us (our next two games aren't cakewalks like). Really, our survival depends upon how we pick ourselves up after the next two games as I really don't see us getting anything from them. Psychologically, it's going to be more difficult because we're likely to be in the bottom 3 after our next 2 games. We'll be fighting to get out of the bottom 3, rather than fighting to stay out of the 3. .Com have put up a piece about this time last season. The biggest difference for me is that this time last year we had KK. He brought confidence and belief - something I don't see Houghton instilling. It's going to be close......
  14. Getting it's first listen from me now. I think it's bloody terrific. Initial opinion is it's better than the Crane Wife...and as good as Picaresque. It's grown on me a lot like. The tracks where they go a bit Sabbath are the best for me plus Shara Worden is a fantastic addition. I like it a lot more than I did last week, for sure. I don't have a clue what you're talking about, but the bit in bold has sparked my interest. Acquiring....
  15. Smith booked for taking out Giovanni. Stopped his run like
  16. Taylor scores: The blond is almost wearing that dress
  17. Really hope they have the Taylor's mixed up. Geremi ffs? Lovenkrands should start over him
  18. Still feeling bullish about this. Our backs are against the wall - no doubt about it. But I expect us to do the job. The ManU game showed we were able to play football and that will have boosted some confidence despite the loss. Opening 20mins are really important. We need to stamp our authority from the onset.
  19. I've been watching this series from the beginning. I get the impression I'm missing obvious references (the statue etc) and I'd understand a lot more if I'd watched from the beginning (s1). I'm getting back into it though. I should really get a hold of the earlier stuff, but then I don't have loads of time to sit and watch it all.
  20. Soul Singing - The Black Crowes. Might have to put the live version on next - chilled and melodic for a Friday afternoon
  21. I missed the 1st 3 series and the 2nd half of the 4th. I have no fucking chance of keeping up do I?

  23. Not nervous - but that's maybe 'cos I'm trying not to think too much about it! The Blackburn result really puts the pressure on. Even if we win (which if course we need too) the pressure remains on. Getting something out of the follow two games would be useful. As has been said though, it's all about the remaining games after that - Stoke etc. If we dont play each of those like they're a cup final (something traditionally we dont do well in ) then we're really screwed. We can pick up enough points to survive and it is within our ability - depends if we want it enough. I refused to believe we're down until it's mathematically so. Obviously I'm aware of the very real possibility but I'm not going to say 'I think we're down'. *returns head to hole in sand*
