1. Sorry, I'm just compelled to be a pedantic arsehole.
2. Have to agree with that. I offered my thoughts on it here a few weeks back... It's a mate who's the fan, I'll have to check if he's got the other dtuff you recommend. Cheers
3. Mr Hyde off psyco logical? Have you heard much of Street Villians Vol 2 and the other stuff he did with Necro? 46000 The only album I've got is Barn of the Naked dead. It's got some funny bits (like the above) I've got The Sexorcist by Necro and that is hilariously vulgar.
4. Spartacus shouldn't be includedas a Kubrick film, it was done as a favor to Kirk Douglas. He had no passion for it at all. I presume when you said 'most', it's 2001 and The Shining we can agree are better than AI - infinitely so. I don't mind AI but it's ending was almost as unbearable as Return of the King. Like someone else said, the last hour of Full Metal Jacket isn't as good as the first, but only because the first hour is supoib. "Get the FUCK! OFF! MY! Obstacle!" Clockwork Orange is shit like.
5. He was trying to get it going for years but he never got round to it, Spielberg's definately the one who crashed that car.
6. Dear god! What you meant to say there was "I haven't seen Full Metal Jacket either. In fact, I haven't seen any Kubrick" There is NO apart involved.
7. Mr Hyde - On The Prowl "I'll be in disguise, ready to stick you with knives and leave your arms crossed like Forrest Whitikers eyes"
8. Wonder if that'll make it into abbreviation's this Monday. 45775 you work at the same place i take it? you know me? 45913 Sure, you're DJ Karl, the beat connector and the rhyme provider. Actually, no, that was a lie. You're the one who said we work for the same company a few weeks back.
9. Wonder if that'll make it into abbreviation's this Monday.
10. Whatever happened to Django and his weekly music post? I enjoyed reading his reviews, usually how Tomaso Albinoni's Concerto for Trumpet in D minor drives him to tears because it's much more spongy than the Sonata in D major. He was class.
11. When I was young I wanted to grow up to be an actuary, none of these gung-ho notions of being an astronaut for me. What a dull child I must have been that my greatest aspiration was a life of probability. Strange that they're almost equally as difficult to achieve.
12. Six Organs of Admittance - School of the Flower - Skip the lo-fi jazz freakout of track 1's first minute and a half and move straight on to some sublime acoustic songs. Wolf Parade is growing on me too, but his voice is still second only to The Stereophonic lad in annoyance.
13. Never heard it, but if (as I imagine) it goes "FIRE! I beg you to burn." then it's a sample of Fire by the Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
14. Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won.
15. Class innit? Eye of the Tiger and Jump are the best like.
16. Buck 65 - This Right Here Is Buck 65 He's $1.15 better than fiddy
17. Must have albums 2005: Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow System of a down - Mezmerize Sleater Kinney - The Woods Tonight I saw that Devendra Banhart has sold a song to some bread advert. He's going to be huge.

Cheers Big Ears
19. Only been able to listen to the first few tracks. It is very Modest Mousey. Although I think they're canny I was never a big fan so it hasn't really grabbed me and kept me listening. I got a few new albums yesterday so I'll give it a full listen later. I haven't got the new Broken Social Scene one yet, but I loved You Forgot It In People, so I will be soon. Anyone been listening to Ta Det Lugnt by Dungen? Swedish sing-a-long rock. Kudos to whichever DJ was on in the Forth on Friday and played Panda.
20. Fulsome? Is that where the prison guards are too nice?
21. Asked on the last page and I don't think you could've read it because it was an excellent question that demanded a response. Have you heard the new album yet? Leaders of the Free World? Best yet by all accounts. 43133 No not yet. Actually whenI bought this it was only because I was searching for the new release (still yet to be released here). I hadn't realised that there had been a follow up to Asleep at the wheel. Our national indie station has been playing the "single" which has definitely got me interested. 43141 I've had a quick listen and they seem as bland as ever to me. Don't think I'll be going back to it much. Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine I'm loving it at the moment but I've never been able to keep enjoying female singer songwriters albums. Call it a gross generalisation, but any female solo artist gets boring fast. I loved albums by Indie Arie, Tori Amos, Bjork, Aimee Mann ands loads of others but whenever I put them on now I turn them off after a couple of songs. The only exceptions that spring to mind are Aretha Franklin and Camille who I can listen to for days.

winamp

Another Winamp question. How do I set it as my default player? I've tried to "Open With" and it's not listed in the suggested or other programs. I can open winamp and then the track I want, but that's a bit shit. I've also tried "Set Program Access and Defaults" and "Custom" but again, Winamp wasn't listed as a media player.
24. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm in preperation for their live show on thursday night. At the moment I think I'll hang around the bar and get pissed but I'm hoping it might get familiar enough to warrant a venture toward the stage and a bit of diving.
